Ok last night my wife and I rolled new toons. She rolled a BE lock and I rolled a BE priest then made our happy little treck over to the UD starting zone. (I want a nice Skeletal Mount to go with my wifes Demon one.)

So We started our treck and got to level 7 but I was thinking about spec.

Now obviously I am going Shadow but I was wondering what was your personal opinion on best spec for leveling with a Spriest? As in if Affliction is still the way to go or if we will get more utility out of her Destruction tree.

I am asking for help because the highest I got a lock to so far is 21 and I went Imp Corruption and the rest into Demo... but it seems to be a slow run that way and was thinking of changing myself.

Thank you for your time. I apologize if this is something that is asked frequently.

Personally, I think Affliction. The Shadow Priest compliments a Warlock is ways that are just insane in DOT damage. You could easily wipe out an entire leveling zone.

Pace yourself......

Yeah I tried Demo... Didn't like it. How ever I did like it when i tried it on a PTR realm when they released the Tier 6 and season 2 gear for that cycle.

Maybe it is just a matter of getting where you want to go. Weither you want to go the easy way or the hard way.

I know there are easy roads. (best leveling tree) and there are hard roads (leveling Prot as a warrior for example) Some people will do the hard way just to prove they are better than the average person. Meh.

hmmm. my opinion comes from a solo point of view, as ive never had someone with me most of the time, which could definitely change your needs. that being said spirit tap is priceless for keeping downtime to a minimum (so long as you land the killing blow). the discipline tree offers improved wand damage, as well as stronger shields and life buffs. but once you get to level 25 you should definitely go shadow, 5 points shadow weaving compliments the pair, i think thats the big one for shadow priest/ warlock combos. anyway something to consider. :)

yeah I know what I am going to do for my priest, my concern was for my wifes lock as she prefers to let me pick her points. Meh.

*edit* damn typo!

A shadow priest + an Affliction lock complement each other very well, especially once you get down to Shadow Weaving talent.

I'd agree with saying affliction. If you want to try something else then shadow destro could work too. Imp Shadowbolt will help you both. just depends if you want to do burst dmg or DoT. And I cant say anthing about demonology cause I never rolled it.

Noobguard? Really?

I don't know whether to waste my time trying to educate you or just call you a name and be done with it.
