Hello all,

I dinged 70 2 or 3 weeks ago with my druid. While leveling I was hesitant being feral or resto in raids. I decided to go feral, I worked kinda horde getting tank gears and was about ready to try my hand to heroics.

I switched guild and they have plenty of feral druid (all of them WAY better geared than me) and they gave me the options of going resto. I took a look at my healing gear (mostly a joke), made my list of what gear I need and started doing instances to gear myself up (again).

I am not respecced yet, I'm still feral, so I can tank any instance without providing less than par heal while gearing myself. My question is (finally): I have something like +600heal on my healing gear right now, when I'll respecc Resto, will this number change due to talents? Or the +heal is only gear dependant and not modified by talents.

(btw, dont lose your time telling me +600 isn't much I KNOW! I'm working on that right now ;))

I believe +heal from gear is not affected by talents. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm mistaken.

Personally I wouldn't stick with a guild that requires me to respec to something I don't want to be, but that's your call. If you are well geared for feral, and that's what you want to be, maybe you should look for a guild that will accommodate that.

As far as I know, the only talent that will actually increase the number listed in Bonus Damage and Bonus Healing is Lunar Guidance (increases by a % of your INT), but that's in the Balance tree.

There are lots of talents in the Resto tree which will increase the effectiveness of specific healing spells, but I don't think any of them actually increase the character sheet number.

I won't stick with a guild that ask me to respecc something I don't want to be. But as I said (I think tho), I was thinking going resto while I was leveling up. The decision was kinda made for me. I don't mind at all going healing! :)

I am not that well geared as feral, I'm not kara ready yet (I have 13k health, 17k armor and 412 def) but that gear won't be sold of course! :)

I think there's a difference between the guild who says "We already have a lot of feral druids, would you mind going resto?" or "Go resto or you aint coming."

The way I read OP's situation ("they gave me the option of going resto") and what I've experienced, is more like "We already have a lot of feral druids, you can stay feral and get limited to no opportunities to raid as Feral Druid #7, or you can respec resto and get lots of opportunities as Resto Druid #2."
