Finally got to bring my warrior to his first BC raidFollow

I've been keyed for Karazhan for months, but I was never able to attend. Largely because it's somewhat rare for me to have 2 nights off in a row, and absolutely impossible for me to have the 2 nights that my guild ran it on off.

Recently, a guildie began organizing a Karazhan guild pug to gear up alts and people that aren't part of the core raiding set. This would only be a one night thing, as it happened on Monday before the reset, and would be an attempt to clear as much as possible.

I was brought in as offtank / dps, due to my dps set severely outclassing my tank set. We cleared Attumen, Moroes, Maiden, Curator, Shade of Aren, Opera, and Chess. We almost killed Prince, but half the group had to go so we called it. We did not kill Illhoof, Netherspite, or Nightbane.

We wiped a few times, but cleared a lot in a fairly quick amount of time. Even though I offtanked quite a few pulls and bosses, I still ended up #1 on the dps meter by a pretty large amount. I can't wait to go again, and with the new tank gear I got from the run (bracers and boots), I might just main tank it.

I remember the first time My warrior went to Kara.
Wasn't interested in tanking and 4 tanking pieces dropped! (bracers from Attumen, Belt from Moroes, Gauntlets and Neck piece from Maiden) so I didn't roll on any of them.
Now I'm interested in tanking again, and only 1 piece dropped for me last time I went :( (Although I do have the tanking ring*Friendly Version* and just got the Enigma trinket :D)

I looked at all the loot tables and there really isn't much dps plate in the instance. Maybe one piece that's worth getting, and it's not much better than what I have.

I wouldn't mind getting the tier 4 dps set though... who knows.

As a DPS warrior you could roll on Rogue stuff as long as no rogues want it, as it has the AP and crit (especially the Leather Helm that has 100AP on it)

And tier 4 would have been awesome. I figured that seeing how I rarely play my warrior anymore, and that I got the belt from moroes, I might as well start collecting some tanking gear. Might help my guild start up a second kara raid group.

If I recall, in terms of plate it's just the Nightbane boots and T4. There's some decent mail and leather in there, though, and until you hit 25-mans (or ZA) that's the best you'll have access to.

Actually, with the addition of badges to Kara, it's easier to get the new Badge DPS gear, which is quite damned awesome.

I didn't see any leather or mail drop that wasn't caster geared. There was a ton of healer gear that dropped like some mace from Maiden that the healers went wild about. Shard of the something or other.

Yeah, I took some good looks at that gear. I think a few pieces from that will enable to make a good Fury set, as that's what I really want. I've always wanted a set where I could dual wield and do awesome dps, but I've always lacked the hit rating.

Well with the hit rating on the badge dps gear, you shouldn't have a problem.
And the mace is caled Shard of the Virtuous, something I hope to get for my priest once he hits 70.

I've been to Kara enough times to be exalted thrice over and at the start of TBC there was a plethera of Tank gear that dropped, but now it seems that nothing but caster/healer gear is dropping. I wonder why the tables have turned. Either way I was on my shaman and picked up Dragon-quake shoulderguards from Curator and the leather healer piece from Nightbane.

The ArP from badge gear is quite nice. Another DPS warrior in my guild has slightly lesser gear than me but more ArP and he hits harder than me...and I can't figure out why because his AP is way lower than mine...either way badge gear is quite good for fury DPS. Just socket accordingly.
