Well I am currently arms/fury & now that alot of my guild is getting close to lvl 70 I want to switch to Prot build so that I can be a better tank. Can someone help me & show me what is the best prot build as I will be doing mostly 5 man stuff....

The sticky post at the top of the forum has excellent examples of good prot builds. You would be wise to start your search there.

Cheers,
Jorge

Lose 5/5 demo shout. Past 2/5 it's not going to affect mitigation unless the mobs have CoR cast on them by a lock...and if THAT'S the case, you're in a raid and it's being used to increase raid DPS. Make your OT or one of your fury/arms warriors spec for it so you can free up 3 talent points that could be put to better use.

Where would you put those three points? I'm trying to figure out where to go with those three points, Iron Will? Imp. Heroic Strike for more threat gen?

I put my 3 into Improved Defensive Stance, but I'm considernig respeccing and putting 2 in Improved Taunt and 1 in Improved Heroic Strike. Improved Taunt because since I'm going to be getting into Heroics and Kara soon I figure there's goign to be a lot of "oh sh*t" moments while I'm still learning the ropes.

Depending on what your'e doing you might even be able to drop all 5 Improved Demo Shout. If you're doing 10 or 25-mans, you might have another warrior in the group who could do it better than you. Then you could cap Improved Heroic Strike and still have 2 left over for Improved Taunt or Improved Bloodrage.

I have Improved Taunt and I do use it in Heroics but I did notice on my one trip into Kara that a lot of mobs are immune to Taunt in there. When I start doing Kara more and if a lot of it is Taunt-immune, I may change my talents a little and put those points elsewhere. I'm thinking I may take Imp Def Stance with those points and pull a point out of Tactical Mastery which I don't really use much (though I probably should practice stance dancing more).

I'm just starting heroics, so I don't see Imp. Defensive stance as an viable use of points compared to Imp. Demo Shout.

My char/build heh, looks like I messed up again on my build, and missed putting into Imp. Shield Block.

I'm sure the shield is need of replacement, but I've found nothing so far to be any better (atleast nothing that's dropped). How about the feet, I could drop in two Solid Stars for +24 Sta or I can keep my old feet Ironsole Clompers.

Your gear on the whole is better than what I have, but I have at least one or two pieces you could probably put to use:

In particular I'm surprised you didn't give consideration to the shield I'm using, it seems far superior to the one you're using.

Definitely is superior, its just that it won't drop for me, heh. What's your take on my boots? I'm kinda unsure of where to go with my gear, cause I was kicked from a couple of heroic groups because "you got no epics wtf". Isn't heroics the place where you get those epics? Anyways, looks like I'll be respecing and tryin to up my rep with Sha'tar.

The boots are pretty good. The guide on tankspot suggests gemming those particular boots for your aggro set and keeping the ones i'm using for a mitigation set. OTOH, it doesn't look like you're exactly hurting for Defense at this point, but if you have some other stuff shelved the boots I'm using might free up some other spots for you to replace something that gives Def with something that gives stamina.

I feel your pain on the shield not dropping. The Adamantine Figurine won't drop for me either, 0/7 so far :(

I'm still using that same blue level 65 shield because I can't get anything better to drop but it's still a pretty good shield. My plan is to get the epic Shield that you can buy with the heroic badges as it looks like the fastest upgrade I can get right now without relying on luck. I need new Boots too but I think my next upgrade after the Shield will be my Helmet as my guild bought me the plans to make a nice epic BOE one for myself and then for the other tanks in my guild.

I would say put the 3 into imp. heroic strike. In my opinion, imp. taunt has always been a waste of talent points. I'd be paying 2 talent points that could be better spent elsewhere..for an 8 second taunt instead of a 10 second taunt.
Now, call me crazy, but I've never had that 2 seconds be what would make or break things. In the first place, if I'm losing agro that often, I'm PROBABLY not doing my job by either 1.) Maintaining agro properly, or 2.) Making the DPS focus fire. If agro is being ripped off of me that commonly, which I will admit I have had my off days, I need to get my sh*t together. The talent points aren't the problem, I am. But that aside, in those occasional instances where I just CAN'T seem to hold agro for the life of me, imp. taunt would never have been the game breaker. I'd normally have 6-7 seconds left on cooldown...and if it's only losing agro like that once or twice in an isntance, like it should be...don't rely on wasted talent points. Stance dance and hit mocking blow, or use challenging shout. You should know how to stance dance already anyways, think on your toes and utilize this important aspect of tanking.

if you have to taunt on cd at all, that usually will mean your doing something wrong.

So.. tanking heroics, you don't need to be prot to tank instances pre heroic (it helps though, and a heroic prot type build will make things easier).

My heroic build.

Silence in 5 mans is very useful (heroics). Imp revenge actually works really well in 5 man instances.

The only time I notice my taunt on cooldown is when I try to use it to grab the next CC mob to take down and I get a resist and I cannot grab aggro off the CC'er fast enough to keep him from taking a hit or two.

mocking blow or challenging shout for CC if taunt fails. 2 seconds of cooldown reduction is very weak for the talent points.
