Rogue running circles around me, literallyFollow

#1 Jan 08 2008 at 9:46 AM Rating: Decent
Hey all.

Yes, this might be a newb question, but oh well. I'm trying to stop being a keyboard turner and using my mouse more. Lately all I've done is pvp for gear. I see lots of rogues or other melee's run tight circles around their target. How do you do that? I know you cant do it with the keyboard holind fwd and turn, because the circle it too wide. Please help, I want to improve and I think this will help me.

Hold down your right mouse button, allowing you to constantly turn your character. Then, move either right or left, while turning your view in the opposite direction.

Run right, turn left. The result is a nice little circle that will keep your enemies on your toes, and allow you to get behind them more often, which eliminates their chances of parrying or dodging (or blocking) your attacks.

I thought you can still dodge (but not parry or block) when getting attacked from behind, but can't dodge if you're stunned. Then again, I try not to get attacked from behind (and if I do, it's probably b/c I'm stunned), so maybe I just don't notice.

mobs can dodge from behind, players cannot.

To those who pop evasion and run away, take note of KT's comment. Also when fighting classes with pets, adjust your position so you are facing them while beating your opponent down, practice practice.

In PvP I use my wasd keys while jumping and holding down the right mouse button to adjust player angle.

I find when I run and jump and quickly turn around using mouse it's very fast to get behind opponent. This is very crucial for mutilate/daggers. :P

You hit sprint everytime you want to run in a circle around someone?
