Hey people. Hope you have all had a good start to the week :)

As some may know (or should now) the new Expansion pack is due for relase (mine already Pre-Ordered!!!) at some point next year, though a date hasnt properly been put forward.

Since the release of TBC Shadow Priests have become more Viable in both PvP and PvE. But with the increased CAP to 80, new Talents points and Skills may give Shadow Priests the buff that I believe they are in need of.

The question I am putting forward to you Priests are, what new things would you like in the new expansion. Nothing stupid. No, "Being able do duel wield swords and wear Plate"...because I can say, Its not going to happen.

Personally I would like more CC. AT the moment all we have is Shackle Undead, which in PvP is worthless when a MS Tauren Warrior is critting you for 3k. Also BlackOut, which is good, but its low 10% Proc Rate and its shorth 3second Stun is pretty worthless, though has saved my Priest a few times.

At the monent my SPriest, slowly gearing up, is getting better every day. In the past I have taken out well geared Mages (Silence FTW), Hunters and Palladins reasonably easily. Shamans and Druids, usually healing spec, can be hard to take down, and becomes a Mana Battle (Which is why VT can come in so handy).

Rogues and Warriors, well geared can take me down 1v1 like a fat boy on a teacake. Its an ugly sight.

Most Rogues will pop up with a cheap shot, take a lump out of my NE Priest bottom, kidney shot before stun ends, and then finish me off with a BackStab or Evis. If I fear, they trinket it. Just not working. I can heal in between stuns but all it does it prolong the inevitable. A Rez at the graveyard :(

MS Warriors just hit too hard. And with Movement Imparing effects, Im a Gonna. The only way out is to keep running, bubbling and healing and hope that someone will come to my screams of help.

No, Im not talking about classes being OP. Its just that I believe SPriests need some form of CC, like all the other squishies have, apart from Fear, which is either resisted, or trinket'd most of the time.

Well thats what I think. Maybe a few more Offensive spells. At the moment apart from Mind Flay, we really only have Mind Blast and SW:D...a little bit pathetic in my eyes?

Correct me if im wrong people. And lets hear what you think Priests should get in the up-coming expansion!

Thanks for reading!

Talking talents:

For PVE Shadowpriests, an Improved Vampiric Touch that feeds back rage and energy as well as mana--though clearly in much smaller amounts.

For PVP Shadowpriests, an Improved Shadowfiend that slows its target.

For Holy, an Improved Prayer of Mending that leaves a HoT when it bounces away and Sympathetic Healing, a talent that heals the Priest for some fraction of all the healing he does.

For Discipline, a talented buff called Sacred Gift that gives all the target's buffs 50% dispel resistance and an Improved Pain Suppression that extends its duration.

Shadow Priest are pretty strong as they are, and if we were any stronger....we'd be Warlocks (AkA cheap). I "DO" think that Shadowform should have environmental benefits though.

Not to be ofending, but if you can't take out a warrior in a 1v1 you aren't a good pvper. It only gets tricky if they know to SPAM pummel.

Few tips:
Try to avoid getting charged by sw:p'ing them at max. range (dont run all the way towards them if they are coming to you on a mount, usually lag will **** you if you do so) = No rage to begin with. They will usually bloodrage -> intercept, which means close to no rage again. Before they intercept u put up pw:s so their dmg gets absorbed -> again no rage. At this point you just try to get vampiric touch up, get mindblast off and mindflay them to death - USE PW: SHIELD WHENVER YOU CAN. Don't use fear at all as that will just be ended with berserker rage and end in an intercept so it's not really viable.

I beat warriors with pretty much epic pvp gear while being in my PvE gear, it's just lolable if a warrior charges me in my pvp gear.

Btw, as always when engaging a melee class u should have touch of weakness up :) I don't think it helps much but it can at least proc blackout.

As already stated, some CC would be pretty nice, and maybe an extra dot

Stacking. Utility. In raids.

All I ask. Give a reason for guilds to want another priest or two in their raids, the way paladin buffs and shaman totems do now. Heck, even a second shadow priest can make the compelling argument of acting as mana battery for a second group. Healbot priests can't do this.

And if we're really lucky, Discipline will get a talent in the 25-35 range that's actually useful in raids (Power Infusion not counting, since it's only one point).

And if we're extremely lucky, Discipline and Holy will be differentiated enough (and Discipline raid viable enough) that a priest of every spec is the ideal distribution.
