Grinding is a grindFollow

I finally dinged 70 on the main, (yah) so now I am going to level my Warrior. He just got 40, the robo-chicken and plate. I am hoping to get some advice from the veteran warriors on leveling. If I fight same level NPCs, I get overwhelmed by adds, and fighting green guys is slow. Questing is going to be the way to raise quickly, but none are easy to solo. More gear or grouping help some?

1. A good place to grind and also earn a bit of cash are the whelps in lethlor ravine (southern end) My warrior ground from lvl 40-45 there in a week (this was over a year and a half ago, so it would be faster now).

2. Have you done all the quests in Dustwallow? (Theramore and Mudsprocket)

This link is a good list of zone(s) appropriate for your level. Questing in those zones will always be faster than grinding (all of the leveling guides for WOW involve strategically chaining together quests, and for good reason: it's the fastest way to level.)

If you're pulling unwanted adds against even-level opponents, you should use your ranged weapon. Eventually you'll get a feel for which mobs need to be range-pulled and which can be Charged (range pulling everything is inadvisable, as you miss out on all that free Charge rage).

For a typical class I usually try to face (and do quests) level +0 to -2 mobs. But for warriors I felt like -1 to -3 was a little better (so at 40 that'd be level 37-39 mobs). It just felt like critting was more beneficial for warrior DPS than other classes, due to white crits meaning more rage to turn into more DPS. You crit more frequently against lower level mobs.

Have your first aid lvled as high as you can and have your main make you bandages that you can use. Use food as well, along with any cheap pots/scrolls you can have in the AH.

Another thing I found great with my warrior was to find out the quests I could get for instances. Tank the instances, finish the quests, and get better gear. It's a triage of goodness.

Kinda like the a threesome, but without the quick finish.

I used Rihanna's Horde Guide (think that was the name) all the way through to lvl 60. I noticed that I always was a few levels higher than the area I was doing quests in so hadn't too much difficulty in doing them alone.

I think that with the new XP reward changes through lvl 10 - 60 has really improved things. It's definatly worth doing the green quests you really have "outgrown". As long as you get a decent amount of XP who cares if the quest is too easy?
