Stamina problemFollow

I'm having a slight Stamina problem with my Restro Druid. I'm fairly well geared, almost ready for Kara...however I barely have 6.5k health when buffed (10k mana buffed). I haven't really had any problems yet, as I have a very reliable Guild group I run with with a great Prot Pally and Feral Druid offtank...but I'd like to be around 8k health before I go into Kara. I've run everything up to Arcatraz with little incident and no problems. Usually if I die, something has gone wrong enough that it would've resulted in a wipe anyhow.

How do other Restro Druids fare with health pre-Kara gear? What's the ideal stats for someone just about ready for Kara? I've heard a lot of fluctuation between 8k and 10k mana/7k and 9k health from non-Druids. Right now I "don't" have any Stam enchants, although between the two Guild enchanters I can get two Stam enchants, but I don't know if it would add much more to me. I "do" have a Clefthide Armor kit on my legs. Anything else I can do?

Casters get reamed going into Kara.

Your Stm will buff up eventually through upgrades, but if you are in the best gear for not going into Kara, there isn't much you can do eh?

Maybe look into a few Glad/Vind pieces, but only if they upgrade or are comparable to a current piece.

Well, there are other stats BESIDES health and mana that you have, and maybe part of the problem is you have too much of those (i.e. healing, spell crit, MP/5). Not that they're a bad thing, but you need a balance of stats. When your health is 0, so is your HPS, so less +heal and more stamina means more healing done. And spell crit is pretty much crap for a resto druid (although great for the dreamstate build) so avoid that as much as possible.

So post your full healing stats (I know you got an armory, but armory works as well as Brittney Spears' rehab clinic) and maybe we can help you more. Also, if you're doing mainly non-heroics, try getting gear from heroics (badges of justice are nice) or going into Arena or BG's to get some epics. For druids, I believe you lose some spirit but pick up some stamina, and overall I dont feel the druid PvP gear is that bad for PvE healing.

Armory is borked from the holiday BS...I haven't seen it update since Xmas on my main.

As of right now off the top of my head:

Healing Bonus +818 (unbuffed), Spell Crit is pretty low...somewhere around 13%. My gear, although good, could be better.

Collar of Command
Hallowed Pauldrons
Sethekk Oracle's Focus
Moonglade Robe
(Can't think of the Waist without Armory)
Kuranei Kilt
Slippers of Meditation or Slippers of Serenity (one of 'em)
Goldenvine Wraps
Prismatic Mittens of Mending

Nothing amazing. The Essence Focuser in Main Hand with a green offhand Orb with Intellect & Spirit. If the +Healing is too much and not necessary right now, I'll happily swap some Gems. I figured I should have somewhere close to 1k +Healing buffed, and I'm around +950 with Wrath of Air up.

The elixir of major fortitude & stam food will help a bit for those fights where stam is needed (maiden, curator, illhoof & netherspite). Other than that, just get in there and start getting gear which will get your stam up (as well as all your other stats :)

You should be in all level 70 blues from running more than just the minimum number of 5-mans to get keyed. If you have never run any dungeons on heroic mode you should do that as much as you can for a week or two. That will give you an idea of what to expect.

If your guild isn't new to kara, you can probably just get in there and see how it goes.

I think 1K is a good base healing bonus for Kara. For health, I'd get it to 7K and let it go up from there through normal gearing. Why not grab some arena or PvP/BG pieces to help up your stamina? I wouldn't ever go for a majority of PvP gear for PvE, but 3 or so pieces is a nice stamina boost.

Your spell crit is fine, don't worry about that.

My advice?

Dont worry so much about your stam. work more on getting your + healing to 1k+.

Do heroics. And dont stop doing them just because you start getting equips in kara!

By the time you get your healing to 1k+ and spirit up to ~300, Your stam will be there too.

Remember 6.5k UNBUFFED, is plenty fine to do kara. In there you will gain items, wich have stam/int/spirit/healing.

Also keep in mind a Druid is a very effective healer, a +1600 to heal druid, will out heal a +2200 priest the way the game is now.

Good luck, may the drop God favor you!
