Okay, I need another drink before I tell you how to do what and where.

I'll offer to you the same information I offer to guildies who are frequently linking items in /g asking, "Which would be better for me?"

Know your class. Know your spec. Know what stats create the most benefit for your class/spec. Select gear accordingly. If you haven't already done so, download AtlasLoot. Go through the level 70 instances and review which bosses drop what items. Use that to plan out which instances you want to run for which gear. Win.

Personally, I don't mind seeing the occasional gear check thread. I've posted one myself. Key word: one. Perhaps if my guild was getting ready to start running SSC, I might post another for the veterans here to review and offer tips on where I might be able to improve.

Generally speaking, a pre-Kara gear check is not a bad thing. Preferably not, however, a just dinged 70, a pre-Arcatraz key, pre-BM attunement, pre-Heroic, and then a pre-Kara gear check. Or a, "I've had the same gear for three weeks which I asked you about 3 weeks ago...tell me again what I should be doing?"

Pretty much all Hunter specs have the same "critical" stats (AP, Agility, Intellect, crit). Which order they go in relative to priority depends on your spec. All you have to do is learn which stat priority fits your spec and what stat goals you might be working towards and you're good to go. That is all.
