hi i am looking at all these forums about rogues and they are talking about how they are sword rogues or maces rogue and i was just wondering what do they mean by that? I also just want to know what is the best set... like sword, mace, dagger or what?

As the poster above said, please read the FAQ.

Also, when someone says they're combat sword specced (or anything similar) it means that they're combat specced and that they use 'swords'. Funny how it's so easy to comprehend, yes?

The best weapon set is often a matter of personal preference. If you're going to spec Combat, you can choose between weapons. If you're going to spec anything else, use daggers. Many people suggest Combat swords for leveling since good swords are much easier to find 1-60 than daggers. 60-70 it's easier to find good daggers. Some people prefer to train in all weapons and just switch between then when a better weapon appears. If you want to spend the time keeping all you weapon skills up, then that's a good idea. Otherwise, pick one and stick with it.

in general,
if you are assassination/sub go daggers.
if you are combat:
for PvE combat swords is the best sustained DPS, combat maces is great in PvP for the stun chance, fist and dagger weapons are just a matter of preference but will still do good damage.

ok kool that is what i am... so i go daggers.... right now i have cruel barb... does that mean i get reid of that sword and get a whole new dagger for off hand or should i wait till a certain lvl to start really trying for my spec...

btw i am lvl 26
