Blacksmithing vs. The othersFollow

Good evening all I have a rather stupid question...I've recently rolled a rogue and decided on combat maces. I'm in that stage now of deciding on a profession. I was wondering if it would be worth it to go into hammersmithing and craft Dragonmaw (sorry in a bit too much of a rush to link it), or would it just be too uneconomical? Would I be better off going with one of the more mainstream rogue professions(leatherworking or alchemy)and just raiding/instancing for something?

I've got a decent idea of what my answer will be but would rather hear it from some of the more experienced rogues. I'm on a Pvp server and (eventually) hope to BG for most of my time. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It's entirely up to you which profession you choose, although LW/Skinning or Herb/Alch might be more useful for you while levelling (and they don't require anywhere near as much dedication to level).

And when you start your BG's at lvl 70, you'll be able to get the S1 maces fairly easily.

I did Leatherworking Skinning to 70.

Made the sexy Fel Leather, I've started on Primal Intent. But I also dropped Skinning for Enchanting, which I am currently leveling.

I found that worked out fine, I always has Armor Kits on me, for quite a few levels I was using home made gear.

Alch would be good to though.

You might want to consider engineering as well. But it does take up quite a bit of cash.

Still in pvp it really does excel with its bombs, tricks and fa'shizzles.
