Chance on hit helpFollow

My shaman at the moment is lvl 37 (Almost 38) and is currently weilding the Ravager (2h axe from Herod) and I was thinking of something while seeing those big numbers from the WF procs...

Do the yellow hits from the WF Proc or the extra hits from the Ravager Proc have a chance of proccing the other one?

Such as if I was in the middle of the Ravager proc, spinning like the ballerina it makes me, will one of the 3 extra hits it gives me have a chance of proccing WF?

Short answer: No.

Slightly longer answer: the effect on Ravager is a channeled effect, meaning you're not doing anything else while you're doing it. You are, technically, not swinging your weapon (even though it looks like it). So you can't get any procs off of the hits because they're not "hits".

So that deals with the Ravager-proccing-Windfury part. But what about the other part? Well, weapon effects are different than Windfury inasmuch as how they proc. Windfury is a straight percentage... more hits = more procs. A weapon's built-in procs, on the other hand, operate on a "per-minute" basis. No matter how many times Windfury and Flurry make you swing that thing, you will average only so many Ravager procs per minute of combat.

All such weapons *used* to be a percentage basis... until Windfury-shamans forced them to change it. :P

I don't know if it was a glitch or not, but if not then the extra attacks from WF can proc weapon procs.

Figured that out this morning after getting WF and then after a tiny delay the ravager procced.

Combat log had the ravager proc after the first WF extra attack

I should have been more clear. Yes, Windfury attacks can proc weapon specials; but you will not get MORE weapon specials by using Windfury as opposed to, say, Rockbiter.
