For some reason, my armory page isn't working right now. ( I'm sorry, I figured out how to link other pages yet ) But my name is Cataclysmic on Exodar, and my guild is Awesome Forces.
Anyways, I was wondering how to gem my gear as a level 70 planning on doing mainly PvE ( PvP just never interested me much =/ ). Also, I was wondering what Meta gem would be the best for a raiding 70 mage. I don't plan on keeping my headpiece (Mana-Etched Crown) long, so I was also wondering an easy and effective Meta to get for that. Mainly, I was wondering what stats to gem for. I have all red, yellow, and blue slots that I need to fill.

Okay, not too tough to answer these:
To gem your gear you want to stick with great dawnstones/veiled noble topaz/runed living rubies for PvE.
Before you are hit capped (at 164 with elemental precision) you will want as much +hit as possible, which I used Great Dawnstones (+8 hit) and then veiled noble topaz (+4 hit, +5 dmg). Once you are capped start using Runed Living Ruby (+8 dmg).
As for the meta question, I would personally recommend working towards getting the spellstrike hood. It is better than the T4 headpiece and will last you until much later (tier5-ish).
Another thing of note is that you do not need to match the gem colors.

The only times I'd disagree are if you're hit capped, the socket bonus on the item doesn't suck, and you only need 1 yellow to get the bonus. Then I'd go with a Potent Noble Topaz(4 crit, 5 dmg).
