Is it normal for Druids to have more AP than Rogues in Kitty form?

My friend has 2.3k and has considerably worse gar than me.

From my experience yes. They get a major boost in AP from talents, 10% from Heart of the Wild, 3% stat inc from Survival of the Fittest, and then another 150% of their level from predatory strikes. On top of this the weapons they wield dont matter, so they usually have a enormous druid staff with upwards of 300+ AP on them.

Yeah, they should have way, way more. The reason it works out as such is because their melee attacks in forms don't use their weapon damage.

More precisely, we don't get any sort of benefit from the DPS values of a weapon as you do, so we get the Feral AP values on our weapons to adjust for the higher DPS of your swords, thanks to the 14 AP = 1 DPS calculation.

also all druid attacks are normalized off of their cat form attack speed....which is 1.0.

so in other words, a rogue using a sword gets 2.3x the effect of AP than a druid does. so, in a sense, for special attacks anyway, sword/mace rogues are getting 2.3x as much AP as druids are on an attack-for-attack basis.

basically, 1000 ap for a rogue equates to 2300 ap for a druid for specials.

I think you typo'd in the topic of this thread.

"Druids are OP"

fixed.

Not to mention druids can't spec for crit. Druids aren't OP as melee DPS. Only true benefit they have is that they are a little less dependent on the healer for fights that have lots of aoe because they can still SShift and heal.

Druids get Seal Fate at like, 18 points.

And also have two talents that improve crit to by like 11% or something.

The entire feral build is about having a **** ton of crit and ap.

Wasn't including that.

Sharpened Claws is 11 points in for 6% crit, then the 1 point LotP at 31.
