I'd say play what you like. I chose a troll because they look cool to me.

first off, what spec do you intend to go? if you plan on going enhancement, while shamanistic rage is active popping blood fury can greatly increase your mana regenration,and gives you more attack power while unleashed rage is out. if you intend to duel wield and prefer 1h axes, the expertise rating may help with the insane amount of misses. and resto again blood fury at the right time is like a free trinket, plus if you activate it and put up earth shield, the bonus healing recieved will continue after the duration. the spell damage for elemental(again blood fury) can be useful, as it is similar to some of the earlier trinkets in outland.

Blood Fury is a great racial for any shaman spec...

The description (form this website):

"Increases melee attack power by 6 and your damage and healing from spells and effects by up to 5, but reduces healing effects on you by 50%. Lasts 15 seconds."

Thats the level 1 description, it gets more powerful as you level.


I hear people saying that at level 70, when your spell damage is way up there that spell haste (makes casting time faster) is actually better (thats the Troll racial)

Honestly, play whatever race you think is cool looking to you, if you invest lots of time into it you'll be staring at it for a long long while.
