My Prot pally has been more interactive than many of my other characters, especially in instances:
Mark mobs in kill order, Ready SoR, Pull mob with Avenger's Shield, while mobs are inbound cast Holy Shield, judge/cast SoR on first mob, cast Consecrate to lock AoE aggro, refresh Holy Shield that just ran out, judge SoR on next mob when first dies.
Oops, dps'er got aggro, target mob and cast Righteous Defense macro on mob, bringing it back over to you. See if dps'er still has blessing of salvation up.
And that just describes a typical pull, not to say when things go wrong and you're really jumping to keep everything together.
Yep, sooooo boring. ;)
A pally tanking has nowhere near as much to worry about as a warrior. A pally just has to refresh holy shield and consecrate (it's easy to remember when - they both have a cooldown while consecrate has this giant aura around you), and judgments are cast on a CD too (and if you dont seal right after judge, wth are you doing?).
A warrior has to pay attention to the time left on demo shout and thunderclap (unless he's spamming it for aggro purposes), as well as battle/commanding shout, and has to make sure sunders are being refreshed, he's keeping up shield block, revenge is up, etc. Since everything a pally does is on a CD, he could pretty much bind 1 to judgment, 2 to seal of (righteousness/vengeance/blood), 3 to consecrate, and 4 to holy shield, then put a finger on each button and mash it till that mob's dead, clicking on the next and moving on.
I'm not saying paladins are boring next to warriors, I'm just saying that if you're going to say "on a paladin you have to do this - and this - and this!" Realize that warriors have to worry about things similar to that, and more.
