I have done alot of post reading & there is a wide variety of opinions when it comes to a good Prot talent build.
So i was wondering if there is such a thing of the perfect Pally tank build.

If you know of one could you please link it, as it would be much appreciated :)

"Perfect" is a loaded term. Perfect to whom?

If there was such a thing as a perfect talent build, everyone would take it, because it would be perfect.

I believe there are a few "perfect" talent builds in the FAQ ...

There is no "perfect" build. Why? Because we don;t have infinite talent points...

I love my build.

ok

not perfect but a descent build that will allow me to tank multiple adds at once

like a build like this http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?0550302000000000000005005133520001025215510000000000000000000000/]http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents.html?0550302000000000000005005133520001025215510000000000000000000000/link]

Eww, points in Holy, AVERT THINE EYES!!!

Honestly, the only talents that could be worth getting in Holy as Prot would be Divine Intellect and Imp SoR (if you use it to tank over SoV), but they are not worth getting over anything else. Check my build (first link in my sig) or look at teh FAQ builds. Yo ushould put almost all your points in Prot with some in Ret at least for Deflection. Few talents are negotiable though.

I had DI and spiritual focus up until I hit Outlands and had to respec full prot. Being able to heal yourself reliably without bubbling is pretty useful while leveling.

I think some points in Holy or Ret can supplement any Paladin build, because we rely so much on mana and our ability to heal ourselves; thus Benediction or Divine Intellect are going to be always useful, regardless of the situation.

I had those leveling as well, but as we all know while leveling we won't have a "perfect" build (if there was one, we wouldn't have it leveling that is). Unless you map out your level 70 spec and place talents as you level accordingly, there's gonna be a respec out of certain talents later on. But doing that makes you miss out on talents that make leveling easier. It's a balance.

Speaking of Prot as the OP brought up, yes some points in Holy can do well to suppliment the build, Divine Intellect in particular, but it is no where near necessary, and there are other talents that wil serve a tank better than more mana. Paladins gain mana back by being healed, so as long as you are not overgearing what you are fighting and not spamming needless spells you should never need DI's increase to your mana pool.

That said, DI also gives a very minimal boost to a Prot's very low mana pool, whereas a Holy Paladin will get a much greater benefit. Prot's don't stack Intellect and DI gives a greater effect the more Intellect you have.
