So I'm using Ancestral Hammer of the Elder. I've been hard up to find another wep that I like better. My main reason is because of the speed(1.7). I saw another one with much higher spell damage, Preserver's Cudgel (2.5), that just opened up to me, but the speed is so much slower. The reason I'm a bit worried about the speed is because I love to aoe grind, and I can hit more mobs to refresh my judgements with a faster wep keeping them up.... anyone know of a better wep with some good speed?
Also, if you see any gear upgrades that you would recomend I would love the input. Don't think I'm doing to bad for a lvl 65 though...

It's a good mace for leveling imo. I grabbed Tranquility Mace of the Elder for cheap when I dinged lvl 66 (virtually identical stats as your Ancestral Hammer). At level 65-66, both are as good as the blue Cenarion Expedition mace and much cheaper.
My next upgrade was picking up Mogor's Anointing Club from the Ring of Blood quest in Nagrand.

Thanks for the upgrade tip on the mace. I think I can pull it with a speed of 2.1 and I like the stats. Better than 2.5 for sure. I have a buddie that will run the chain with me tomorrow to get the mace. I think there is a weapon buff that will add 20 haste to your wep, some BS crafted item? I went looking and can't find it... but know I've seen it. Anyone know what that equals in speed cut for this mace?
One more thing... my board.... Landslide Buckler. Know where to get a better one?
One more thing.... I have a Mithril Spike on my shield, good agro add. Is there something better at this point? Besides a Thor Spike. An enchant or something?
One more thing... Are my stats ok for my lvl? I have an idea where my goal is at lvl 70 (but not solid numbers), but I want to make sure that when I represent a Tankadin that I do us justice. Mostly because I've ran Ramps 3 times this weekend with some really poor tanks (not pallys) with my alt, most of the time fending off agro and saying I can do better!!! Even ditched out on a group because I kept pulling healing agro, moving to the top of the threat meter (and not for over-healing).

I'm in the same boat here. This shield has been part of my healing gear for about 7 levels. I can't seem to find a better one.
So last night I got Mogor's Anointing Club . I had no clue. Went into that quest thinking that it would be a 2 man group thing. Too much rum I guess. So I do get a five man group... or they got me. Cupple of 70's (one a warrior with t5 gear.... so sweet!!!) and off we went. Like 60k exp, 60g and some pots and stuff I had my wep! Very nice.

Might want to gear for +stam a little more, other than that I've found gear isn't an issue until Lv70 runs.

Don't worry too much about your gear until you hit 70, then take a long hard look at Thels' guide and my Kara requirements in the FAQ (I think they are in Thels' guide too, but they aren't as straight-forward). Just keep grabbing gear that has defense or mitigation of some form, lots of "Of the Champion" greens should be fine. I was using the crystalblade of the dranei and has all of 20 spell damage (I think, maybe not even that) when I was tanking at your level and I was doing fine. I switched it up around 67-68 and started looking for spell damage.
