I want to re-roll a mage on Alliance side, and I always did PvE, if I got to a PvP server, am I going to be getting ganked CONSTANTLY? What's the pro to being on a PvP server compared to a PvE server? What about at 70+ when i'm farming materials is it going to be a pain in the *** to do that?

Well, the only real bonus to being on a PvP server is that its allways more exciting, though at many times extreamly annoying. However at lvl 70 in farming/questing areas, at least in my own experience, many times you get left alone by members of the other faction to avoid iritating conflicts while you both try to farm

I personally started on a PvP server, and avoided most questing areas where ganking is rampant, for example STV, and when I switched to a PvE server for a change the game just seemed to lose that exciting bit if entertainment in confliting areas.

I really wish I'd rolled on a PvP server, as you get a lot better at PvP/1 on 1 combat than you do on a PvE server. Then you go to a BG and get pwned as a soft, uninitiated PvE-er.

I rolled my first on PVP as a Gnome Mage. Had the usual noob problems (not know where to train, wasted time, inefficient grinding/questing...

Honestly - you'll find little to no ganking until you get to the upper 20s or lower 30s when you are in and around the point of entering STV. Just go to Desolace instead. Lvl through 30 there.
