Hey everyone! First time posting on the Shaman forums, just wondering if "fatigue" still happens to your character even if you are water-walking. Sorry for this question, seems kind of stupid to me, but then again I am a newbie Shaman!

Only if you're water walking in places Blizzard didn't mean for you to go in.

I think it still goes down at the standard rate though (meaning you'll get a lot farther with waterwalking than you would while swimming, because you're moving faster)

Ahhh I see thanks for the replys. So if I'm trying to get to GM island with a bunch of buddies this way would not work because Blizzard meant people to stay away from there?

I have no clue where GM Island is and how far you need to travel, but the fastest way I know of to move over water is Aspect of the Pack (hunter ability) and Waterwalking (on both of you). I'm sure there's a couple other ways to increase your speed too like speed potions.

Where is GM island anyway bro?

Do you mean the island off tanaris that was used in the AQ gate opening event? During that event you got a special item that let you move very fast and beat the fatigue timer.

Yeah thats the one Dilbrt! I looked GM Island up on some videos on Youtube and it looks pretty cool. I had no idea that it was part of an event though, thats news to me.

fatigue has nothing to do with being in water. it's just something that kicks in after you've crossed an arbitrary boundary they don't want you to go past.

i've slow fallen from teldrassil to auberdine. you get fatigue even in the air :)

Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms, and GM Island (which is a real place) are separate instances. That means that they cannot be reached by swimming. Eventually, you will hit an invisible wall. The water will stop and you will see the horizon dip below. You cannot reach the islands between the two continents by swimming or waterwalking (or managing to do it as a ghost) nor can you reach the maelstrom. It just isn't possible, since none of these locations are in the same WoW instance.

Btw, if you're wondering what GM island looks like, it's a small, tree covered land mass, on which is a small, two story fortress/inn. Inside are tables and chairs, weapon racks, the regular blizzard doodads. There's an overhanging tier on top that looks out over the island.

Its somewhere north of kalimdor but you cant get there.

Because theres empty space between it and the contineny after some substantial fatigue area.

Ghosts get fatigue too.

Its the part where the ocean floor going down into nothingness.

The empty space means that you go on forever and will never reach the island.
