I just started playing wow again and am currently a lvl 69 and I'm going for the A1 gear right now. I'v basically been a Mut rogue my whole life and with the new resilience and little glitch in pvp where it says that you are not behind the person when you really are, I am thinking about specing to combat maces. This is the build I am going to use, but I'm not sure on how to play combat, it is completely diff. Do I just spam shiv and hemo and use kidney shot when I can, and do you even use eviserate with com maces? Some help on the rotation would be most appreciated.

in combat tree:
most rogues will say drop nerves of steel. 10% resist rate isnt a lot.
blade flurry isnt a big deal in arena as well. riposte will mainly be used against warriors and rogues, so its very conditional as to its use. personally i would put the 2nd talent into endurance for evasion cool down. this will set you up for a 31/30 build. unfortunately AR is getting removed from prep in the next patch, but its still a really good talent to have for burst damage if you know how to use it right (cheap shot, AR, hemo hemo gouge KS 3x hemo should be about 15 seconds).

in subtletly, hightened senses isnt too great in my eyes, but that can be personal choice. i think the attack power from deadliness is going to be the most beneficial to cap out though, especially if you're heavy in AP or agi

slightly modified, this is what i would do for a 31/30.

as for combat swords/maces usage, you lose backstab and ambush.
for PVE, open with garrote and slice and dice and just go nuts. its a spam fest. throw out rupture if you have enough energy/CP to go around while keeping slice and dice up, you generally wont though without combat potency and the 11 points in assassination. youll still have good performance in pve with the 31/30 or 30/31 build.
for pvp. i like to keep targets stunlocked. if they use their trinket i use blind until energy/cooldowns are ready. basically your going to have a lot of sustained white damage, so keeping a target stunned between your 3 CS uses and as many KS you can allows you to put out some high numbers with no retaliation. i like to use CS -> hemo -> gouge -> KS -> 2x hemo -> gouge repeat. if things seem to get a little hairy, then i'll gouge vanish and cs again. one thing to note is when you use blind or gouge, any damage or DoT will break it. you need to exercise patience when using these because if you break them early you wont regain as much energy and you could end up either short a combo point for a 6 second KS or short energy to even use SS.

i dont see shiv being used a lot unless you want to make sure you get a poison applied. mind numbing on casters makes life so much easier. and yes you can eviscerate with any melee weapon.

i'm not the most experienced on this, but it has shown success so far.
