Oh, man.... Well, my wife decided she really likes WoW, but she refuses to play horde, so I've been concentrating on my alliance pally and that's fun and all... but I miss my mage. I haven't touched him in weeks now. I'll be leveling an alliance (Human) mage to do kara and such with. ./Cry

I'm not one to do illegal things at all (like sell and buy characters), is trading a mage to someone else for their alliance mage against the ToS as well?

If so, I guess I'm relegated to retiring Ktangent and leveling my new mage, Tangent. Egads.

Yes. Character trading is against the TOS as it pretty much amounts to account trading. You can't get your wife to even play a blood elf? Try harder. She might like the horde side if eased into it with blood elves. Show her the /silly emote that makes makes fun of the undead.

Yup its against the ToS to trade characters period.

Leveling is nice now, SoS has some new quests and you can solo all the juicy outdoor elite chain quests that have some nice story elements (trolls hinterlands, Arathi Stromgard) you may have skipped on the first go.

Troll female and their emotes are in good flavor by women too (strong & proud vibe i guess, what lacks by other female races), 9/10 women in my guild play troll female.

9/10 women that play WoW are trolls in RL.

Funny every female player I know (including myself) rolls blood elf. It was the only way my boyfriend could convince me to play. Took a look at the other 9 female races and just thought "yuck" (no offense to them - this was my first impression and rolled female night elves, trolls and tauren now).

Try to get her to see the light. Horde is cooler without all of the "helping" quests and the fact that if you see a gnome you can actully squish it rather than just wishing you can squish it

We have british girls who 1 is a beauty and 6 are fugly, we also have a handfull danish, swedish and spanish girls in the guild and all are not bad, not troll status anyway.

Well, she fell in love with a pink-haired-gnome-mage (ZOMG... I just wanna step on her!).

I talked to here about a female blood elf, and she thought they were nice, but then she pointed out (dang her and her reading) that you can only really use Silvermoon as your home until lvl 20 or so, then you go to the normal horde places and she hates ORG and abhors UC. Nope.... to no avail, she is hooked on her cute pink-haired-gnome.

Sigh... Well, off to level a new mage and it'll be all new leveling (no AOE grinding for me this time).

She will change... mine did the same until...

"AARGH, I didn't see it coming up the hill"
"I'm over here in the tall grass"
"Where have you all gone?"
"Why are my weapons so small"
"I just spent an hour designing a guild crest and now I can't see it on my Tabard"
"I'm stuck again"

:)

Heh --- not much hope there, then. Too bad -- Horde *is* cooler imo (I played Alliance my first character to the then-cap 60 before really trying Horde), but it can be a transition into more "primitive/earthy" kinds of places from the more polished/advanced Alliance side of things. Once I got over that transition, though, I really started to like the Horde much better, and I find it in general more creative and interesting (TB, UC and Org are all creatively designed), while the alliance is more predictable and stereotypical (Stormwind is Disney, Ironforge is a dwarf city in a mountain, pretty predictable if you ask me).

Yuck, gnomes. Never even liked them when I was an ally. Just .. by far the most annoying race in the game, imo.

What??? If it were any other class I might agree but she is a mage. PORTALS FTW!!!! She can teleport to Silverymoon at will starting at level 20 and use it as her base to her hearts content.
