best team8 with a hunter in arena 2v2Follow

Happy new year to all..I have a 2v2 arena team with a mage and a rogue..
You think that a BM hunter can make a decent team with a mage or rogue?I have played only 2 games with the rogue but it didnt go well..maybe with the mage and his frost nova should i have more time to do more damage?
or both compinations are too bad for 2v2 arena?

What is your goal in 2v2?
Are you doing it just for the fun of it? For those shiny purples? For a high rating?

If you are geared well, you can do ok with nearly every combination in 2v2. It always helps to have a healer in your team, but it is not mandatory (but then crowd control becomes more important, e.g. a mage sheeping one opponent).

If it is just for fun, then just go for someone with whom you like to play :-)
Mage sounds a bit better to me, but that might be because I know some good mages while I don't know a rogue who is good at PvP.
Expect and accept to loose the first 20 or so games. There are many teams at a 1500 rating which are well geared (since they do arena for a few months now) and who have some experience. While they might not have enough skill or a bad class composition to beat the better teams, they will steamroll any new formed team with less gear and experience.
You will lose those games because you are undergeared for PvP (to less HP and resilence I expect) and have no experience in arena games. However that does not matter too much. You'll get arena points nontheless and after some time while pvp skill and equipment is improving you'll win more games and achieve higher ratings yielding some extra arena points.
So you will find a rating where you will win about half of your games. I cannot say which at which rating that will be (but I'd guess it would be more in the 1200-1400s when both of you have no arena experience and are not geared for it). You will still get your 180-300 points per week as long as your team has at least 10 games per week and you have played at least 30% of that games.

EDIT: Woops, wrong forum, heh.

I'd try playing with both, and keep playing with whoever is more skilled.

It also depends on your battlegroup though, I think that you'd do better against warrior setups with a mage, while you'd be doing better against warlock setups with a rogue. Check out what setup is most common, and adapt to that.
