Help Please Im Broke....Follow

#1 Jan 02 2008 at 2:34 PM Rating: Decent
OK here is the deal. I just turned 70 a couple weeks ago and only had like 150g. My only proffesion is chanting and i have an empty spot left over. I took skinning the dropped it because it was boring to skill up and i spend most of my time in org pvping and selling mats in ah. Now for selling mats it works like a charm. But then some stuff wouldn't sell and i ended up spending more money then making while buying low level greens in ah. Now can someone convince me that skinning is a proffetable proffesion to take up? Do you vender the skins or do people actually pay for them in the ah?

Ok next question is since i dont have my flying mount =( how do i get to do the dailies? Do you need a flying mount to do them because the only one i do is the bg one since i dont have the time to do instances. If i dont need a flyer can someone tell me where to go to get them cause sadly i do not have a clue. Sometimes i do end up questing since i just started doing some ShadowMoon quests. But is there a good spot for me just to farm out some money that doesnt have to do with primals because elementals aren't that friendly to farm for me lol. people say BT is a good spot but what is there? Any help to earn some money would be nice sorry if this post is long.

thx,
bacckstabb

If you are 70 and only just started questing in SMV, just keep questing, Quest like mad! you'll be reaping in the money.

My warrior got his normal epic at 69, had crap all money at 70, i hadn't quested in Netherstorm yet, so I went there, quested 1k in 2 days.

You should be able to do the cooking daily as well.

Just finish out all of your quests and you should have a good chunk of change.

If you do not like skinning, try either mining or herbalism. Any sort of gathering (while being a ***** to level) will be the best, since you don't have to spen any money to get mats.

Stop buying crap off the AH, and stop trying to powerlevel your chanting.

Well i wasnt power leveling my chanting i was buying stuff ah to de to make more money from and it works but it justs takes time. I really dont like questing lol. Um if im going to take up a gathering which one should i take since im starting from scratch anyways i might as well get the best. As far a dailies can someone tell me where to go to get them? do i need a flyer for them? i dont have cooking so thats out. And whats so special about BT farming?

also thank you for your responses

I hardly had 200g when I reached 70, but with herb and a little alchemy here and there, I got my normal flyer in about 5 days, and I skipped (what I think were) about 100 quests, so yeah... once I start questing I'll have a lot of money again.

Grabbing herb/mining will totally power up your gold income, and not buying **** on the AH all the time also helps a lot.

If you dont like questing, and you dont like cooking, Im guessing you dont like fishing either, and you also dont like primal farming, so you probably want free gold with little to no effort.

Dont be lazy.

BTW I dont know what do you mean for BT farming.

I would say you should go with herbalism, as I know nothing about your servers specific economy. Why would you want to do any sort of leg work to get the information you want?

Skinning makes some good money. Thick Clefthoof leather sells about 40g a stack on my server. I recently just took mining. Got it to 300 in 3 days. Made about 400g off of it. Thorium bars sell for 20g a stack on my server, and Mithril selling for 12.

But the easiest way to make money at 70 is to quest. I still have a lot of quests in Nagrand, BEM, SMV, and haven't even been to Netherstorm. I'm just a little bored of questing since I've been doing it all the way to 70.

You could farm some of the places people have mentioned. I prefer Nagrand. The Elemental Plateau is there, lots of Clefthoofs are there, and a bunch of Adamantite scattered around. Along with the short distance to Shattrath makes it a winner for me.

Just sell everything you can. Buy nothing. Deing things is a decent way to make money, but not very effective if there are many other people doing it on your server, or if the market is unstable. Just go farm or quest or whatever floats your boat, and DE the drops you get.

Ty for all of your responses. Um..lets see saying that i didn't like questing didnt mean that i wont do it. I mean who likes to quest we all did all the way to 70 lol. If that is the biggest sorce of cash income then i will do it. I dont like buying gold online or people who do it, because its stupid to spend more money on a GAME. But thats just my opinion. Also im was just asking for advise so please dont call me lazy or refer to me being lazy because im not and you dont know anything about me. I mean this in a nice way. Again I thank you all for you advice. Ill probably take up skinning again and just power level it and then do some quests. Have a nice day.

thx,

There's also great money to be made farming the bosses in BRD for shards. As long as your enchanting is up over 200 you can DE everything and sell the shards for 10-15 gold a pop. Plans for goblin XL jumpers and fiery also drop in there, and they bring in good money as well.

With questing you can also get items to disenchant and sell the mats on the AH. Most of the stuff I get from DEing is Arcane Dust, and that's usually goes for about 3g for only 2 of them. So you're not only getting the money from the quest, but the money from the item from the quest. Plus, a lot of the gray items in outlands actually give you a good chunk of change. Not exactly 1g, but pretty close to it.

Also, you're a rogue... open lockboxes. I powerlevelled my lockpicking from /2 and offering my 'opening lockboxes' services "tips are appreciated". That one day alone... maybe one hour, if that... I made about 30g.

Some people may say... oh you're only getting some silver.. only getting one gold, but in the end it all adds up. I'm only at 63, and almost have up to 500g. Coming slowly, but surely. I'm sure by 70, I'll have enough for my flyer... hopefully.
