Earlier today I was running my friend through SM. When running to the instance, I had Aspect of the Pack to make it quicker. The problem? She didn't get the buff.

Yes, she was in my party and yes, she was next to me. (I was standing right on top of her.) So why was this?

The only thing that I can think of is that Aspect of the Pack requires anyone who wants the buff to be of a specific level. For example, when you're a buffing class (IE: Pally, Priest, etc) and buff a lowbie, they get a level specific buff. If you give a level 19 a Fortitude buff, they don't get the level 70 one. They get one appropriate to their level.

Is this how Pack works? Does the recipient need to be above a certain level? Or was it just a bug?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Edit: She was level 29 at the time.

Or she clicked it and removed it, or it just glitched. I've never had anyone not get the buff. No level restrictions or anything.

I'm not 100% positive on this, but I do believe that people can right click it to remove the buff, and it won't re-appear unless you go out of range and come back into range(this causes it to be re-applied, similar to recasting the buff).

Aspect of the Pack can not be dispelled, or right-clicked away, except by the user.

This is a case of one of you being PvP flagged and the other not. Auras do not work when the user is not PvP flagged, but a party member is.

Even on a PvP server? I'm pretty sure that she wasn't flagged, though I was. (I came straight from Outland.)

Granted, this was right outside of the Undercity. If I remember correctly, hordies are NOT flagged in this zone.

Thanks for the help though. Your explanation makes the most sense.

Yea it's rather annoying on a pvp server. It considers it a buff, so just as if you were playing a priest and you were not pvp flagged, the second you cast Fort on a pvp flagged player, you become flagged.

With aura's it's the same way, except you can't force some one to take the aura, so the game just sets it to a default to not buff the person that is PVP flagged (or isn't pvp flagged as the case may be).

My AotP buffs lvl 19's ok, might have been a glitch or they cancelled it.
