While running heroic Slave Pens last night these epic BoE Leggings dropped. The group told both me and the other hunter in the group to need and see who got it. So they all passed and I needed as told by group leader but the other guy said he already had an epic leggings so I could have them.
My problem is after reviewing the stats they don't seem to be all that great and for what it's worth I don't even really thing it would be a good idea to equip it.
They are "slightly" better in physical stats but I lose the +crit and +AP that would make up for the lack in agility that my current legs have against these.
So I turn to the people whom I trust with this knowledge. Should I keep these leggings and equip them or get rid of them and look for something better that is not BoE.

And I am aware that the BM leggings look alot better at times then my current ones but at the price of 1000g I kinda am a little lack luster on them... they seem more like a small fortune in my invin at the moment.

I'll try my hand at doing a basic overview. Please feel free to check my math folks.
Instead of listing everything I'll just state the differences between the two pieces after all calculations.
BM Leggings
132 more armor
60 more health points
.2% more dodge
70 pet AP
490 pet armor
520 pet health
MM Leggings
17 more AP
.36% more crit
195 mana
.37% resilience
1 yellow socket
So the BM legs give you better defense and a stronger pet. The MM legs give you slightly better range stats. Now which one is better for you? I'll leave that up to more experienced hunters. I don't blame you for your lack of enthusiam about the BM legs. I'm sure they would sell for an ungodly amount on the AH. Awfully tempting to just stick with the BoP pair you already have.

Sell it. Money is nice. It is an upgrade in dps, but I'd go for [wowitem=28740]Rip-Flayer Leggings[/wowitem] if you're in kara or [wowitem=27430]Scaled Greaves of Patience[/wowitem] if you're not.

I'm using them, but only because I picked them up for 200 g at the AH before they were buffed, and nothing better has dropped for me. With a Nethercobra patch on them, they're not that bad, but nothing to write home about either.
Sell them to some chump who is blinded by their shiny, purple color (like me ;). I've seen them for about 1000g. The improvement over your current ones is not worth 1000g imho, unless you're swimming in cash.
And also, I'm not sure how much the +70 pet ap is worth in pure dps. My guess is amounts to less than 50% compared to if the hunter was buffed instead. Haven't done the math though.

IMO, the main reason to have Beast Lord leggings is for the reduced cooldown on traps. Two pieces of the Beast Lord armor set gives that bonus. The bonus for all four pieces seems mostly useless.
I'm also working toward having two pieces of the Desolation Battlegear for the increased hit.
I have only two pieces of Beast Lord gear myself. Once I get some other piece of the BL set, I'll switch out the leggings. I'm working toward the BL curaiss from Botanica and the Greaves of Desolation from Sethekk Halls. One of these years perhaps Murmur will drop the Sonic Spear for me also.

Dude your way off target here. Beast Lord leggings are way different from Beast mastery leggings. One the Beast Lord leggings are a blue BoP where as the Beast Mastery Leggings are a Purple BoE. Yes I know about those but I was comparing the value of these leggings to the desire for the much needed cash.
