nothing :P
used to be good due to the poison doing massive amounts of damage(just like the windserpent also did once with its lightning breath.

now for why its still beeing used alot in pvp, my guess would be that the poison ticks does mes alittle with cast time on your oppenents, however since im no pvpér dont take my word for it

The poison is a pain in PvP - for the hunter.

Nothing ruins a good Freezing Trap like a poison DoT.

I like the clicky-clacky sound they make when they run around.

If scorpid poison is applied before Viper sting, the target will have trouble dispelling it

scorpid poison is a debuff, so it makes other debuffs harder to dispel... ravager does more damage and has dash to catch the travel-form'ed druid, so it is generally better - the scorpid is used only in hunter/rogue setup...

Use scorpids against resto druids and everything will be a lot easier for you in arenas.

After the nerf, I have a hard time seeing how a scorpid earns a stable spot at all. Sure, the debuff-disspell thingy, but it hardly seems worth the loss in momevent speed and dps.

Scorpids are, post nerf, mainly for Arenas.

When you think about it, making debuffs harder to dispel doesn't really sound that good. But in actuality, it is a god-send for hunters, and pretty much the main reason we have a spot in a 5s team.

Once that poison get's stacked, an opposing healer is fighting a losing battle to keep himself cleansed. With Viper Sting draining the healer's mana and the Scorpid's Sting draining his life (Very, very slowly ^^) he has to choose between spamming his poison cleansing skill (Thus wasting a global cooldown) or actually healing his team.

So in conclusion, I love my scorpid. ^^

Also consider that scorpid poison makes it so that rogue can't vanish and that enemy warlock can't fear your pet, seduce you, life tap + bandage. However, I believe serpents would be better suited for this purpose, due to being a ranged attacker (but with 5 stacks of a poison, it'd take forever to dispell).

Viper Sting is being prioritized over other poisons when being dispelled, so there really is no reason to have it.

Ravagers only are highest DPS in long boss fights in raids. Gore only out DPSes Bite through longer fights because it has more chances for the double damage to proc. This is hardly the case in Arena.

You're better off going with a pet for utility over DPS. As people have said, the scorpid sting is great for a dispell decoy. I would rather have a crappy scorpid sting dispelled over my Viper sting.

Other good arena abilities to look out for are Screech, this can really hurt a melee heavy team. Charge is another one, a few second stun is alway a good thing to have.

For me though Claw and Dash are two must haves. Dash for obvious reasons, it can keep up with that pesky running druid healer. Claw because of how fast it is, turns a 1.5 second flash of light heal into a 3 second waist of time.

But I'm not claiming to be an arena expert or anything, so take it with a grain of salt.

But you are missing the point that Gore also procs Frenzy and FI more often than Bite, if you are deep BM for Arenas (for God knows what reason).
