Did any BM try this?Follow

I was just wondering something.

A couple of days ago i was goofing with a friend about the + healing bonus on gear affecting the mend.

According to him it did, so I joked well then im gonna start looking for paladin/shaman healing gear (mail) so the pet still has the armor bonus but the mend in question would be an increddible HOT. Imagine having a +1k healing bonus on top of your MP :p

So did anyone try this? And does it actually work?

It used to work, but after somebody soloed Onyxia, they nerfed it, so not anymore.

+healing has no effect on Mend Pet.

And I think +spell damage does nothing for a hunter either.

I feel utterly disgusted seeing hunters run around in elemental or resto shammy gear.

As a reaction to that (because it was relatively easy to do) they changed mend pet from a channeled spell to a hot and made healing gear not affect it anymore.

Not true, in fact +Spell Damage still does apply for hunters, however the amount of actual +Spell Dmg you need to outweigh your RAP added bonus is just rediculous.

There used to be videos of a particular hunter who could solo Strat, Scholo, etc. at lvl 60 with a bunch of +Spell Damage gear on. This was back when Arcane Shot didn't receive a bonus from our RAP.

I actually saved some +Spell Damage gear just to test out the affects, and see how high I could get Serpent Sting to tick for, but soon after they changed everything, and I just threw the gear to the vendor. It wouldn't have been worth it anyway, even if I could get Serpent Sting to tick for 500 my normal damage would've been crap.

used to have a +spellpower set aswell. for some solo adventures it was more or less a must, and you could acually do some pretty nice aoe back in those days.
nowdays its not worth it anymore, serpent sting needs to be buffed up for it to be used again.
think the only time ive used serpent sting at 70 was for kiting the first boss in durnholde(altho any inc in SS damage on that fight would have been very welcomed)

in normal kiting situations its so small percentage of the damage that it really wont speed up the kill noticable
