Hey everyone, i just started up a pally on a PVP server because on my mage i never got into raids and was always forced to pvp, yet the pvp on my server failed miserably, and i loved doing world pvp in hellfire and the like so i thought "Hmm i oughta go to a pvp server and try it out!" As i thought about the class to pick (i was also doing this with a friend) i thought, whats a class that is very much so different from a mage, and pally came to mind considering i had never played one past 15.

Now that my alt is 13, i am ret currently and i was thinking what spec and really just some basic advice on how to be a pally and all together how to get the best out of this experience.

thanks in advance,
Loooopie

P.S. im not quite sure what all the abbreviations for the seals mean, i know a couple but not tons, and please go easy on me :]

Tips on choosing end game raid healer. If you are horde roll a Pally, Alliance roll a shammy. Resto Druids and Holy Priests are ALWAYS in demand. A well played Holy Priests will always find a spot, that being said anyone can play a Holy priest, very few can play it well. It is one of those classes where skill really shines through. Resto druids are a necessary part of end game raids and are assured spots.

If you do choose to do Paladin grats. They are not the most versatile healer but they have insane mana efficiency and can plug away heals well after the other guy goes out of mana.

You will want to level as Ret. It is the dps build and will help you reach end game faster, since faster kills = faster xp. Lvl 35+ Prot actually defies logic and becomes a very smooth leveling build, the more you get hit the more damage you put out. Even though you can take 4-5 mobs and kill em you are still only at par with Ret. So it comes down to personal preference 35+.

End game people will expect you to heal. There is the perception that healing is just watching green bars. Let me say that Healing is perhaps the most labor intensive job in a raid. Much more complicated that building scorch and then using fireballs as a mage. It is also split second, you dont get the cleanse off in 1/2 a second and someone dies and wipes the raid. Also takes a bit of work to get geared up to get Kara ready compared to DPS. So be prepared to put more work into a character than you would as DPS in order to be raid ready. Once you are raid ready be prepared to be working overtime to keep up, even as you get geared out it will continue to become more complicated and more difficult. It never gets easier.

Good luck though.
