Me and my gf decided to roll some new characters the other day and for a chance, she's going to be a warrior, and I'm going to be a priest. We figure this way we don't have any problems later finding groups (in theory) but I'm stumped with talents.
I'm wanting to be able to heal well, but want to lean towards the shadow/damage dealing side of things. It's worked well for me in the mpst (my Horde Main is a (heavily)Balance Druid that collected a pile of +heal gear along the way and can main heal just as well as deal damage, partly because a good number of Balance talents increase mana regen, so they sort of help healing, but there doesn't seem to be as many (if any) shadow spells that help healing, or any holy/disc that really help shadow.
Would it be better if I went with more Disc spells for the Holy Damaging spells? IF I get a pile of +heal gear but spec shadow, will I still (in theory) be able to be a competent main healer? And if anyone's really bored (or if someone has one/one in the FAQ's I missed) have any ideas for a talent buildup?
