I want to make a new toon and im kinda stuck between making a mage or a shaman. Now when I make my toons i focus mainly on pvp. But when looking for a new toon to make i also focus on leveling speed also. So i was woundering can I have some opinions on who do you think is more accepted in the pvp world. Again between a mage and a shaman.

My second question would be between a priest and a shaman. Now healing wise who do you think is able to adapt better in pvp situations? Arena and bg's of course but mainly bg's since that is all I have time for.

And that would be about it. Thank You id you choice to respond to my post.

thx,

For pvp healing i would definately prefer a resto shaman to a priest simply because of chain heal.

For leveling speed nothing is really faster than mage AoE grinding.

For offensive pvp i'm going to have to say mage once again. Since you've neveplayed a shaman adjusting to shaman pvp might be tough for you. Shamans do not have CC which heavily gimps us. I.E. if you're elemental, and a melee class gets to you you're pretty much dead. And if you're enhancement you get kited much to easily.]

But what i suggest is playing both classes to 20 and pvping at 19 to see which is best for you.

hay man i have a 61 shadow priest and a 65 elemental shamy and i love them both. As a shadow priest i could lvl really well from 30-60, i had very little problems with dieing and in PVP i kicked ***, always on the top 3 in damage. Shamy i was enhancement from 1-60 and switched to elemental at 60. Enhancement is cool but u dont last very long and its true u do get kitted alot. But when i changed to elemental at 60 i was kicking *** like know other. I could take down 4-5 mobs in outlands that were my same lvl. elemental destroy melee mobs like no other. But we do really bad against caster. We have to choose our fights for pvp. We really excel in Aoe damage. And if a couple mobs dont pay attention to a shamy spamming chain lightling they will shurly regret it.
