Are Outlands pets better than pre BC pets?Follow

On my lvl 54 hunter I was wondering if it would be best to get a pet after going to outlands, or if I should get one now so it would have the most training points.

Thanks in advance.

All pets of a family are the same, except for the usually rare ones with "caster" stats. It doesn't matter if they came from Outland or Azeroth, unless you want one of a specific color or starting level.

Pets of the same level and type have identical stats. The only advantage is looks and that Ravagers can't be acquired in Azeroth (excepting Azuremyst/Bloodmyst). Indeed, lots of Hunters bemoan the lack of high-level Boars!

I wouldn't know since I still use humar on my hunter at level 70...

But I've heard ravagers put out the best DPS. Some of the warp stalkers look pretty cool and have the warp ability to intercept which might be nice.
