Funny BG stories?Follow

Here's a funny AV story.

We're riding along, we down the caster lady in the tower.

I go outside to drink while everyone takes the next tower. Along comes a lv64 Human Pally. I continue drinking and set Pumba my boar at him.

Well you know how our pets try to keep behind the 'mob' for the fight? This fight with the pally literally had me loling. Pumba would go behind him... 4 seconds later he'd turn. Pumba would get behind him again. 5 seconds later he'd turn. I let this go on for a good 5 minutes. I was dying of laughter, he never even thought to just attack me (who was still sitting btw).

Well after I put him down, riding to catch up to the rest of the group. Guess who I see? That's right Mr.64 running down the main trail by himself. I send my pet on him again (for another laugh)... same thing happens, 5 second delay on him turning to hit my pet. A few other Hordies come and end his misery.

Lastly, my favorite Human Pally was coming back by himself again. This time I keep pet on passive. He starts hitting me for like 20 damage (no lie). I felt so bad for him... I was going to let him kill me lol. But again Hordies came along and owned him. Poor fella.

Normally I don't ***** around in BGs like that... but that one pally was just too much fun to pass up.

Anyone got any fun stories? I'm stuck at work another hour Smiley: cry

Trying EotS for the first time, I spot a rogue running in my direction. Now, I don't know what the point of going half-way across the map and then stealthing is, I mean you should either stay hidden, run up to the person, or run until you're about to enter a new LOS and then stealth (i.e. just outside a building). Well, he stealths in plain view of me, so I just guestimate where he'll be and drop a flare. I was pretty much right on, so I just hunter's marked him and after that he's mine.
He stupidly tries to run up to me, but I strafe-kite him (which I'm not good at) in a very tight circle, and I'm able to even stop to steady every once in a while without him getting close. I had 3 healers healing me because they had nothing better to do (I was at full health). In the end, he dropped fast, and everyone was laughing at how badly I pwned him...in my first PvP experience on my hunter I might add.

Not to take anything away from you, but if you didn't beat a sloppy Rogue with three healers backing you up, I'd say there was something seriously, seriously wrong :P

Good story lol.

I actually had Rogues do that quite often. I figured it was SoP for them. Almost every time I see that toss a flare where I think they might be... and nothing. I put up track hidden... still don't see them. Then I manage to catch them trying to sneak by and just hit the send pet binding I have.

Just a trick with using Flares...if you know you've got a Rogue moving in for some sneaky violence, I target my flare so that the center of the green targeting overlay is on my toon...the flare deploys almost immediately that way and makes it impossible for the rogue to get to me without exposing himself.

I don't really PvP so's you'd notice, but I've been taking my rogue into AB lately, for some fun...and it has been. The tip above is useful, by the way - if I stealth in plain sight it's because I'm trying to throw you a dummy...if you flare where I would have been, I can have some fun. If you flare yourself...well, I'll have fun in, what is it, 8 seconds?

I especially like taunting the low level horde usually left to guard the farm flag - sap them, so they know I'm there, watch them dance around for a while trying to find me, then come in with a blind, restealth etc. Then they start making mistakes...

Then one time I spotted a stealthed druid with a shaman at the flag, so backed off for a moment. Off in the distance, one of my teammates was approaching, so I fired my crossbow at the shaman...popped out of stealth, gave them a wave, then turned and ran. Evasion and sprint on, eventually they caught up with me. I got a few licks in before the druid shredded me - but that was sometime after the flag had been taken and not much longer after reinforcements had arrived to hold it...

I still can't believe they fell for it.

Back when flares actually lasted long enough to let you have two out at once, I used to 'stand on' one and fire one behind or in an object near where a rogue would have to stealth by to get to a point. I caught a lot of them that way. However, my favorite BG trick is this:

I place a freeze trap right in the base of the object they need to take. Works very well in AB, AV. In WSG, I place it by an entry point. Nail one every time. If you stand by the trap, and your CD is off, you can immediately retrap them after they trinket. PO's them something firce.

Another trick I haven't used in a LONG time is FD & shadowmeld/prowl (for you NElf's with cats). It used to be highly effective for making a player think you died and immediately rezzed back at the GY. I did this at about 20-25% health. Worked often. I don't know if it still works as I haven't BG'd in so long and they may have patched it out. Never have a need for it PVE. Word of caution, your pet cannot be attacking for this to work and needs to have Prowl engaged right after you shadowmeld. You and your pet vanish! If you are outmatched, it lets you hide a bit and call for reinforcements. If you aren't, you can pot, send pet and surprise the heck outta someone that thought you were dead and at the GY.

I've got nothing really hilarious. But I have a tough time with Warriors in any situation in which I can't kite, due to their massive Health. I've been rather amused on the few occasions in which I've been able to burn them down while they beat on my Pet and ignore me. And I mean completely ignore me, while I stand nearby shooting arrows into them and their massive Health drops fast. The Pet has never even been killed in any of these situations. It really just boggles the mind, but I suppose there is a broad range of player skill in PvP, and you occasionally run into the trailing edge of the curve.

I was in WSG and level 56, fighting a 59 pally with no one around. It was a close fight but he was beating me. I managed to get him down to about 20% health before I was about to die. I FD'd and he started to walk away. I mustve had like 100-200 health and my pet was dead. As he was running away I got up and killed him before he realized that I wasn't dead.

I have to say, pallys are great to mess with in BGs. One day I was doing an AB and defending the ramp from the farm up to the Lumber mill. A pally starts up on his mount right at me so I drop a freeze trap and begin to back up, and he runs straight into my trap.

So...
Aimed shot: Crit
Multi Shot: Crit
Auto Shot: Crit

Long story short, he ran, didn't even bother dismounting and attempting to fight. All of my friends tend to watch me pvp at school in our student center. It is still laughed about to this day.

In the 30-39 thicket WSG, everyone on the team was lolhonourfarm, but me and a warrior(neither of us twinks) got rushed by like 4 twink rogues in the flag room, we killed em so fast neither of us got below 50% hp, was hilarious, two of em left after that too XD

At lvl 49, with my 49 king B and being BM specced.
My kitty (named BIGANDRED) killed a lvl 46 feral druid solo while i was fighting some other people =P

I did use Bestial wrath, but the hordie never seemed to think about attacking me and just got killed by my pet.

It was also a lot of fun on defense with a freezing trap under the flag and my pet next to it stealthed with me on the other side of the room being stealthed and some warlock who fell for the trick at least 25 times in 6-8 WSG's.
