Raid Cycles and PoisonsFollow

Ok, I have felt that this is something needing a firm definitive answer since I have seen many different suggestions. What precisely is the best Combo Point cycle for raiding, and what two poisons should you have.

For cycles I most commonly hear 3CP SnD and then a 5CP Rupture, but what about on mobs that don't bleed? What is the best attack to use 5cp on in that situation?

In addition I have heard whispers of being able to do a 1cp SnD then a 5cp Rupture once you achieve a 2 set bonus in your T4 set. Is this true?

On to poisons. I have hears that instant MH and Deadly OH is the highest dmg out put but i have also heard the reverse. So which is it Instant MH/Deadly OH or Deadly MH/Instant OH?

I read through several rogue guides in search of this and the reason I bring this up is that I have been unable to find any real answer on the forums.

So hopefully I can get some fact based information on this, preferable by a mathcrafter.

Clarification would be great and imo this sort of info ought to be added to our rogue guide here.

In terms of poison, I use to use Instant MH and Deadly OH, and start off a boss fight shiv-ing very early, like 1 Sunder in with an average geared tank. After that, your 5 Deadly should stack for the rest of the fight unless there is serious dead time in your DPS on the main mob, but having Deadly OH with Shiv helps out if you need to switch targets in a fight.

For finisher cycles, 1S/5R works with T4, 3S/5R works also. If mob can't bleed use Eviscerate in place of Rupture as you have no other alternative unless the Imp KShot benefit works even if the stun effect does not apply.

If you have an enhancement shammy in your group using instant poison is a nono as it eats stormstrike debuffs.

Also, no poison on your mainhand because you should be getting a windfury totem.

I usually go with double deadly unless I have a WF totem.

As far as there being no other finisher that you can use besides SnD, Rupture, Eviscerate and KS, don't forget Expose Armor.

Given that this only works if you don't have a warrior already there stacking armor debuff on the target.

That is one thing I am most curious about...would Expose Armor produce more dps(including the upped dmg of the rest of the melee classes) than the Eviscerate would?

I think it depends on the group.

If you are in a group with Druid Tank, Enchancment Shammie DPS, Rogue, Retri Pally, Priest. Then expose armor would be better.

But if you were in a group with, Pally Tank, Mage, Warlock, Rogue, Priest then I would say eviscerate.

If you are talking about a 25 man, there will always be a warrior stacking sunder, so don't worry about EA. For combat anything (except daggers), the cycle is 3pt SnD then 5pt Rupture (or Evis if bleed immune). When you get 2pc T4, the cycle changes to 1pt SnD then 5pt Rupture/Evis. You are basically trying to keep SnD and Rupture up at all times.

Instant MH and Deadly OH, unless you have a shammy giving you either flametongue + AGI totem, or WF if you have a fury warrior in your group. Using shiv really isn't necessary, with SnD up during a long fight, it won't take long for a 5 stack.

This is proven and reliable advice. If you need a source I can gladly provide.
