I think that if you took the points out of Arcane Fortitude and Arcane Potency and dumped them in Arcane Focus and Magic Attunement it would be a lot more efffective.

Armor is not a factor. You're wearing cloth, you get hit, ouch. And the truth is, the bonus from Arcane Potency isn't really that great. An extra 30% for one spell, (and the proc for clearcasting is 10%) which given the way the build looks, it would appear to be Arcane Missiles. It really won't make that much of a difference overall, since by the time you're set for Kara, you have about a 20% crit chance, with this build it's going to be at least 23%, throw in Molten Armor and it's roughly 25%. Figure in that you're already hitting like a truck (and draining your mana like a Hummer drains gas), it really would be a bit of overkill.

The Arcane Focus is there to give you a 4% more chance that they won't resist your arcane nukes, which is handy, and the attunement is simply out of my personal preference.

I rather like Arcane Potency, myself, tbh. Especially when going that deep into Arcane. I'm not a major fan of Magic Attunement.

OP, this arcane build will come with some major drawbacks. When raiding, if you don't have a shadow priest, you can pretty well kiss your mana goodbye for a fairly large chunk of the fight.

It will do decent damage, and when severely threat limited, will be the highest damage possible, but the cost is mana efficiency.

I'd really recommend a deep fire build for raids(10/47/3 +1).

is this for you for raiding or for him? Also, what stats/gear do you have?

I want to agree with the other posters that there are some wasted talent points.

Ignoring the ones mentioned in the arcane spot, I would say that impact is virtually useless in raiding as it does not make any difference, they would be better spent in the improved fireball area.

Also, if you do not have all sorts of mana regen in your group you will be in trouble.

200 armour for 1 talent point is actually pretty good for a cloth class - they're filler talents at that point, anyway. Even as frost you're going to get hit by melee, even if you are a perfect kiter.

yes but melee shouldnt be touching you all that much in a raid or heroic.

its what mana shield is for.

I'm still meh about it for soloing, and it really has no place in raids.

Nevermind XD
