Rate My Hybrid Build Arms/Fury/ProtFollow

Hey all,

Take a look at this build and tell me what you think:

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=LbGcdoZVVzVxxRozZfxt

Ive made it so i get the improved rend and got far enough to get Anger management, I made sure I got bloodthirst in Fury and i put enough into Protection so i should be able to hold my own fairly well, also i plan to dual wield or use a 2h weapon, so i dont want any shield talents in prot, just the tanking/armour aspect of it.

Criticism is welcome because i've never made a Warrior or put together a Talent Build myself, but we all have to start somewhere ;)

Cheers, Speed

1) first things first, imp rend = ftl, always. those 3 points are better used elsewhere and should go into deflection, and deflection should be filled out regardless of what build you go for... parry is one of our forms of avoidance, and a relatively free/efficient 5% of it is great when you consider that it takes 24 parry rating per parry %, but only 19 dodge rating per dodge %.

2) the point in imp zerker rage can also be put to better use elsewhere depending on what you are trying to accomplish with this build.

3) what are you trying to accomplish with this build?

Drop imp. rend, drop points in Prot until you only have 11 including last stand, get flurry, precision and blood craze by dropping imp. zerker rage, commanding presence and some in Unbridled Wrath if you 2H, then drop imp charge, imp. overpower and get points in Iron Will if you are going for PvP, and also impale. (PvP i would take 2 in impale and the rest in Iron Will, PvE put all in Impale and Deep Wounds... Although, it doesn't really look like a PvE build due to last stand. It would also be better dual wielding here.)

Yuck.

What are you trying to do with this build? PvP? Tank? DPS?

First of all, drop the Imp. Rend. Its useless.
I'll post more once you tell us what you want to accomplish.

Alright, basically I want to tank in instances (namely Kara) etc., when I get to 70, i want to also do a bit of BG's and Arena and of course the PvE side of it to lvl to 70, so bascially i need an all-rounder.

here you go

1) ability to OT in instances, including kara.
2) MS and even last stand for BG/arena.
3) 2h sword spec = ftw in PvE and second only to 2h mace in PvP.

Some stuff you need to know about the warrior talents:

Never put any points into Rend! Rend is only useful at the lower levels.
Always get Deflection+Cruelty maxed out!
Imp demo shout > Unbridled Wrath!
Max out Shield Specialization if you ever want to put points in Prot!
Flurry is the best PVE DPS talent!

I've never liked all-rounders much. They gimp me...

This is some serious multi-tasking you're trying to do here. First off, to MT kara you'll have to go at least 31 points in prot (same case with heroics). To offtank kara you'll only need to know how to tank (same case as any normal 5-man instance).

To be good at PvP, you'll need (besides knowing how to play) to spec 31 points in arms (MS). Sad, but true. If you want to be good at PvP and PvE, I suggest you get a hybrid build with MS, Blood Frenzy, Imp. Slam and other PvP fillers. Note that if you're also going to OT kara with this hybrid build, you have to spec Imp. TC.

This is the build I suggest you use. Happy new year.
