Was full frost, looking for a change of pace for a bit I guess.

I just respeced to arcane/fire. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Mug%27thol&n=Eftinthea

My question is, is this build better than my current build? http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=oi0qf0bztGzioxgMzf

(Current build in case Armory is still messed up I have 497+dmg and 29.94 fire crit. http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=oi0VfobzLGzbZxgMzf0soh)

I'd really appreciate any input that comes my way. I'm trying to decide if slow and a little more +DMG is worth the loss of 6% crit and 6% + fire damage I will lose.

Thanks in advance.

I've never PvPed with an Arc/Fire build, but I have done Arc/Frost, so I'll put my two cents in anyways.

IMO, the 41/20 build is better than the 33/28 build. Without all your frost talents, you lose a lot of control over your opponent. You're going to need all the control you can get, so Slow is definitely important. This will make kiting as a fire mage MUCH easier. I'd say the loss of 6% crit and 6% fire damage is worth it, because extra crit and extra damage aren't gonna help you a whole lot when there's a warrior with a fatty axe hackin' you apart.

I'd go with the 41/20.

PoM + Pyro = DEATH
3 minute mages FTW

Well, for whatever reason, the armory isn't displaying your character. I am arcane/fire specced right now for PvP, but I consider my build only good if you have a couple of things: 1) The lightning capacitor 2) Mystical Skyfire Diamond. You also have to have a lot of spell damage for this build to hurt, but once you have 1K+ spell damage, this build will kill in PvP. It was better (a lot better) before 2.3, but you can still get the machine gun arcane missiles that hit for 700 non-crit and +1K crit every 1/2 second. It ruins people's day.

Check out my armory for the build I used. *note* for PvE, this is a scorch build, and even in PvP, I use scorch quite a bit. I also use slow quite a bit, especially on healers.
