I know my Druid's gear sucks right now (sig link), I've been level 70 now for about 1 day /played and have already gotten about 40k honor and 3 Season 1 items. I'm working and playing on my off time and any time I'm not out doing dailies with one of my four 70s, I'm pvp'ing.

But I recently tried to arena with a good warrior friend of mine (who helped my shaman get to 1900 last season) and I've really been having issues, I'm not sure if it's just him not adjusting to a different (outlast) playstyle or if I just plain suck.

We've been doing tons of BG's together and almost always win with the most HK's in the end, which is a rarity for Alliance in my battlegroup anyway. And I find myself very elusive, tons of healing very good with the roots and cyclones, but after entering some arena fights, we lost nine times in a row before we both got mad and quit trying for the week. I got mana-drained very easily, I couldn't kite near as well, hunters frost traps were kickin my butt and I had no clue when I should shift cyclone targets.

It's a whole different ball game and I need some advice.

um, where to start....

start in cat form and dash right off the bat to avoid people charging you and catching you in stealth. overally, druid+war is a fight about attrition, so your warrior needs to know when to go defensive and when to go offensive. against some teams, like spriest/lock, he'll need to be defensive right off the bat, and trying to control the warlock with shield bash and intercept. once the spriest runs out of mana, they run out of a lot of their DPS. your job is to keep the war alive and avoid mana burns.

use /focus to keep tabs on the hottest target (i.e. spriest in the above scenario, usually healer in others). remember cyclone acts as heal immunity too, so if, say, a paladin bubbles to heal his teammate, thats when you cyclone his teammate, not before.

theres a bunch more, but much of it is just experience. also, each class combo can use different strats depending on the battlegroup. lots of double dps setups will opt to burn me on my warrior first in my battlegroup, whereas elsewhere i hear they go for the healer, or try split dps to overwhelm the druids healing.

okay the next thing I'm gonna post is for YOUR eyes only (kidding)

Go to this homepage:

clicky

And show it to your war friend too - it's a complete guide, with tacs, to the druid war setup and what they should do against certain setups - when you've read it, go find some movies with resto druids, for one I can recommend "sonny" - he has some excellent skills, good reactions and I would dare say that he carries his 3v3 team - really worth downloading and watching many times.

Next thing to do is go out there and learn how your friend plays, and let him get to know you, and remember to tell him whatever you do. When I'm on vent I'm usually screaming like this:

"okay boys, gates opened, let's win! [insert random amount of seconds until the fight has begun] ARGH FEARED!!!!! JOJ'ed!!!!! LOLCOILED!!! BEING DRAINED!!! NS'ing!!! I'M GOOD!!! FEARED!!!!!!!!!" and well, that's my general conversation on VT when inside the arena...

wat spec r u in....lol.....if ur feral and pretend ur battling a pally and a mage,......go bear form and use enrage and then charge to ur opponent and then....attk him but font use any of ur skills until ur rage is halfway and always watch for ur frwens health wen ur doin arena lol.......and then u gotta mangle, and then maul and kep mauling or if ur health is low stop using ur skills and use frenzied and keep attking wen ur health is regenerating...an if ur frwen is in trouble i suggest if ur both dying use barkskin then tranquility or jux barkskin and heal rite thru hehe.......!!! and tats how u will win lol i think haha.....only use bear form wen ur dueling or fighting a pally, war, shammy, hunter, rogue,or urself (druid) hehe...and use cat form only for mage, warlock, and priest hehe.....also use bash wen u need a heal very useful and always charge even tho u used it alredy its still useful to heal for about 3 sec hehe well peace!!!
