I'm in the process of gearing up my Druid through battlegrounds and obviously the Veteran set is to fill out the pieces the Gladiator set is missing. However, unlike the Gladiator set, Veteran's isn't class specific and so my Druid gets to choose between the Leather and Dragonhide sets.

However, which one is better for a feral Druid? Dragonhide has a lot of +healing and strength and intellect, whereas the Leather set has crit rating, attack power but no strength.

You'll get more milage out of dragonhide then you will out of leather. If your just going for straight dps/burst potential leather is the way to go. But you lose out on armor, int, and healing. Armor is great for bear form, healing for when your tossing some out and int is really important for all things PvP related. Nothing sucks more then being caught OOM in caster form and against some classes you really need to do alot of shifting/casting.

Str and AP are pretty much interchangable now since the change to HotW. They have the same budget cost, 1str=2AP both in conversion and stat value. Str just has the advantage when you have kings.

STR will also be preffered if you PvP feral with NI

The Dragonhide stuff is a bit better in most cases. Once your bear gear is higher though, the leather stuff is better for tanking. You lose a bit of armor but the Agi & Stam are the perfect stats for a tank.
