hi
i hav lvl70 hunter and a lvl62 shaman. i want to make one of em a pvper. but the more i read and listen t other ppl the more i hear they both suck in arena. i am oto lazy to lvl another char and i like em both the same... which one is better in arena pvp?
P.S: hunter is BM or MM (dont care much), but i prefer shammy to be ench (just luv to run around and spam frost shock)

Hunter's can do well in Arena. Most of the hunters I've fought are either really bad or really good. So I'd say skill would determine viability for your hunter. Of course that is true for all classes.
Enhance Shammies have mobility issues and can be kited pretty easily. Along with higher health and resilience, their burst damage isn't as powerful as it was pre TBC. Elemental and Resto shammies on the other hand do fairly well. Try and stick to larger teams, since shaman excel in group pvp.
Any spec for any class can do well, as long as you are a skilled player.

WIth the changes in 2.3 to Arcane Shot and the deadzone I recommend hunter. You will have a blast (pardon the pun).
Enh shammies can be a lot of fun in BGs, but for Arena might give you more frustration than its worth. However, if you aren't particularly interested in high end arena play enh can be ok in there as well.

My main is a feral druid, btw. From my experiences fighting shammy and hunters in arena and bg, I would say shammys are tougher than hunters to kill. With the healing ability (even if not resto) it just makes it so much tougher to take down a skilled shammy as opposed to a hunter, hunters just seem to go down easy.

It also depends on what type of arena you're going into, 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5. Enhance, no offence, is probably the worst arena spec due to mobility. Melee shamans suffer from lack of re-connectors like intercept and using ghostwolf requires 3 seconds (1 with talents) and is still dispellable and you can be polymorphed. Ranged classes can also kite you out of range for earthbind or frostshock. Hunters are pretty good at pvp particularly BM and MM (with ranged MS and silence)
So if you're set on enhance for your shaman then go with your hunter, otherwise pick w/e they both work.
