25 Man StatsFollow

The thread about Kara is very useful, all of the info in it is no doubt the best for getting geared for Kara.

What what about afterwords?

My guild is ready to move onto Gruul, ZA, and Mag, and I have no idea how close I am to being ready. My stats are about what the Kara thread says I should be for all of Kara.

All I know I need for sure is t4 and a Kara Bow.

But what stats should I be aiming for to be prepared for post-kara?

thanks =D

And thats pretty much it.
If you've got Karazhan on farm with 2 groups (wich you pretty much need to get to gruul) you'll be geared up anyway. (at least thats the idea ;) )

an interesting question, let me take it a little further.

How about 25 man specs.

Migrating from 10 man to 25 man content, should there be a Spec shift as well?

Not really a spec shift, besides that MM really isnt good anymore...
Its still 41/20/0 and 5/20/36 or things alike.

for 25 man raids, it's tough to say. You should have some Kara gear to pull your weight in Gruuls. I've seen people in there with some pretty crappy gear, and I'd imagine that there's less pressure on any individual person to have good gear, since there are 25 people in the group.

However, you DO need more HP for Gruuls than you need for Kara. Hunters typically tank 1 of the adds in the High King fight, and even though he doesn't hit very hard with his ranged spells, it's always a good thing to be easy on your healer. As for the actual Gruul fight... It's sometimes better to have PvP gear on, because after 5 minutes or so, you won't get any heals and will probably be expected to pot and bandage yourself. The ceiling caves in, and causes 1k+ damage every second if you don't realize that you're standing in it, and he has an ability called Shatter, which does a TON of damage if you're anywhere near anyone else when he does it.

For gear, I find that once you start getting some pieces from Kara, your AP will go down a bit, but your HP and Mana will skyrocket, making 25 man raids overall easier.

Post your Armory so we can see exactly where you're at.

Judging by the fact that you don't have an enchant on those boots, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you're not planning on keeping those, right?

If you're waiting around for the Fiend Slayer boots to drop from Chess, start doing some BGs and get the honor to get the Non-set Epic PvP Boots. I have both the PvP boots and the Fiend Slayer boots, and I have to admit that I'm more impressed with the PvP boots.

I use the kara boots while raiding for the Hit and the teensy little bit of extra AP, but the PvP boots are better overall. They have WAY more stamina, more intellect, more crit rating, and only a very minor decrease in AP if the kara boots are gemmed with +8 agi, and +4 agi/+6 stam.

As for your pants... I really don't blame you for using those. I was wearing the level 66 blue world drop pants until I got a lucky roll on my T4 pants.

ack, I'm rambling. Here's a quick list:
update boots, cloak (with epic from badges), trinkets, and put a scope on your bow- even if it's a cheap one.

But right now, you should be a bit better than some of the hunters I see going into Gruuls. As long as you know what you're doing, you'll be fine.

The reason why theres no enchant on the boots is because I'm dead broke x_x The boots are nice and i'll probably keep them.

Okay, cool. Trinkets, big time. Hopefully its only gonna be 1 or 2 weeks until i'm ready x_x

The thing that needs to be changed (In addition to what's already been stated) is your chestpiece. You can easily (Well....relatively speaking) farm up mats for the Netherscale Breastplate. That is a HUGE upgrade.

Things that *could* be replaced are your bow and weapon. I'd personally rather have the Sonic Spear over the Blackened Spear. As an alternative, you could find an arena team and gather up 1000 points for the Season 3 axe. As for the bow, you are almost half way to Exalted with Thrallmar, so you could grind rep and buy the Marksman's Bow

I'd also reccomend doing heroics for badges. There's some nice rewards (Notable for your cloak and hands.)

As for being ready for 25 mans, it really depends on the rest of your group. You are in okay gear, but if everyone in your group is in the same level of gear as you, I think that you will have a very, very hard time in Gruul's Lair.

On the subject of spec, I think for a guild that is starting off on 25 mans, Survival would be a better choice than BM. Why? Because everyone's new to the content, and ESPECIALLY because Gruul is a DPS race, improving the DPS of all other classes that go "Pew Pew" or "Stab Stab" would be better than just improving your own personal DPS.

Good luck!
