Not to split hairs but you seemed to make this a main point in your thread, but a demo specced lock may find the imp worthless.

So, in this hair-splitting frenzy are you try to say that Meleeing is more viable as a demo lock than using an imp? If so, that's extremely sad and I'm worried about you procreating. If not, why even say it when the topic at hand is the MELEEING and not the spec. (not even sure where you came across that it was a demo lock anyways.)

simply put. warlocks are NOT a melee class. yes we have the SUPER IMBA DELUXE EDITION FIRESTONE!!!!ONERNERN!!!!ONE!!!11111one but yeah.... we don't melee except for as a joke or for the few perfectionists who want all their skills maxed out.

I'm one of those perfectionists lol. I'll just give people a bunch of free runs through VC until I can max the weapon skill. Yeah, I know that in PvP your wepoan skill is auto maxed, but hey, you never know when you might be in some situation where the system some how glitches, you are oom and almost dead so lifetapping is out, your wand is broken or spellstone is equipped, there are no healers around, your opponent has 100 health left and is next to you, you cant run away....THEN that maxed out skill might be worth making sure you land your melee hit. :D The circumstances in which to use my weapon aren't TOO bad.

Man, Servixx you are a sad and pathetic person. 1) for not reading the post. 2) for flamming without a clue. In what you quoted from me "demo specced lock MAY find the imp worthless. You have 4-5 minions readily available. If you honestly think the imp is the only one usefull in a 5-man then do us all a favor and delete your lock now.

As a demo lock, since you have no clue how to play one, you can be very situational. As a demo lock I rarely used my imp simply because there was never a use for it in 5-mans. I would either use my succubus for +10% damage bonus and CC or have out he felguard for extra melee and 5% damage bonus. If the party finds little use for a sta bonus and you have no threat issues the imp nerfs your dmg, simple as that. If you find your tank cant take hits or your overnuking then use the imp.

My entire point against the OP's thread was that he constantly asked the lock, had the other party members ask the lock and even put up raid msg's telling him to pull his imp out. THEN he went onto the melee rant. Learn to read. What I get tired of seeing in the game is tanks whinning and whinning for the imp. Once in a while it does matter, like I said if there's threat issues or high dmg issues. Most of time though they cry about spilled milk. The point is dont think that 1 persons way is the right way.

Still, his VW was not very useful. He could have pulled out a succubus, too, although he appeared to not have that. I also should mention I didn't have the other people say it. They were saying it on their own. When EVERY other member in your group finds something wrong with what you're doing, you should do 1 of 3 things:
1. Listen to them, because if 3 people are making the same suggestion (and somewhat politely, at least at first) they're probably right. On most of the pulls all his VW was doing was giving an enormous amount of extra threat for my friend to have to deal with (and having less armor/avoidance than a fairly-well-geared druid means more mana I have to spend).
2. If you still disagree with them after seeing their point, explain why you disagree. We didn't hear a word until we were on the 3rd boss.
3. Leave the group, because you find them wrong and don't want them telling you what to do.

While yes, maybe an imp isn't the "perfect choice", it would have been a lot more helpful than what we had. With 2 tanks in an instance where you need 1, the imp or succy will add more to the group. The buff and/or the DPS would be much more beneficial than simply having the thing that generates more threat than an AoEing mage on a lucky string of crits (apologies for use of hyperbole).

Anyway, the three non-warlocks in the group kept asking the other lock to pull out his imp. We said it in party chat, whispered him, even put up raid warnings. We had 2 tanks already, and the imp would have really helped us out. We started paying attention to his playstyle, and noticed he spent half his time meleeing!

I said 1 sentence about the way we ask him, and you stretch it out into "This, and then that, and then that" like I spent 3 paragraphs on it. And sorry if I wanted a climactic feeling to how stupid the person gets, as it went from dumb to dumber.
