Jobs for the WarriorFollow

I was wondering...what are the best professions to have as a warrior? I've done the tailoring/enchanting combo for my druid but I just started a warrior and want a good combo for him...

There's always the cookie cutter "Blacksmithing and Mining". Just know if you are going Prot, blacksmithing will be a complete money dump with little benefit for you.

I went Blacksmithing / Engineering with my protection warrior. I went Gnomish for all the trinkets and gadgets which were amazing at lower levels. I have found them less and less useful in the Outlands though. There are several quest reward trinkets which are just too good to not have equipped all the time.

I can't wait to make a pair of these though :D

I found this out way too late. I ended up picking up skinning to help make my epic flyer mount money. If I was to do it all over again, I would probably pick enchanting over BS.

I've had some real issues with what to take. I started out with Skinning and Leatherworks. Maxed out skinning, but never got around to train it. I've dropped leatherworks now and started working on Enchanting. Works really great at lvl 70. Easy to grind instances to get the items you need. I'm going to drop skinning as well and take another profession. Haven't decided which though

I went mining/engineering.

Engineering isn't a terribly useful profession (I wish bombs weren't so expensive) but it's fun. You can make a lot of fun and interesting, though mostly useless stuff.

All are good, you just have to pick one.

Blacksmithing is only good if you have a higher level farming toon. Otherwise, you will be behind the curve while leveling, or spending too much money.

Herb/Alch is also good. Elixirs of Defense and Strength will keep your armor and damage above the competition. Plus, you get rage pots.

Leatherworking is good for armor kits, and eventually the twinking Clefthide Leg Armor.

Engineering has fun toys, but none of them are really necessary. The epic helmet is cool though, and the repair bot is awesome!!!!

Jewelcrafting also has some neat stuff. Finger & Neck items are not very common while leveling, so this can be a fun craft.

As you can see, all are good. Just up to you.

Pick one you will enjoy, and good luck.

I make a crapload of money skinning and enchanting. What I do is farm some leathers for a few hours, have a LW make me a ton of items, and I sell the mats I get from disenchanting. I also save a bunch by using my mats and skill to enchant my own gear. Being able to pull in 200g in a day is about the norm. I just hate farming so I only do it when I'm broke.

I was Blacksmithing as well. Lvld it to 365 even made the epic lvl 70 chest, can't remember the name tho.

Anyway it sucks for a tank... Im JC now, can u believe that? Playing with some shiny gems is better for a hardcore tank then crafting plate items... -_-. What the hell...

JC has some very nice tank items in the end as well as epic gems like +18 stam +12 def rating etc. The most important reason for me to choose JC is because of the gold u can get with it. Go farm adamantite for an hour or so, prospect and u got yourself a nice 200g if your lucky.

I went herbalism / alchemy.

I don't make much money from it (read - none) but since they increased the stack limit on some potions to 20 it makes it practical to wander around the world with a decent number potions to make my farming / grinding easier. I usually have both a battle & guardian elixir up at all times ... living off Mighty Trolls Blood potions usually + a.n.other agility boost.

Is there a list somewhere of all the profession-specific things you can do that are good for warriors? i.e. things that only a person with the profession can create for themselves? Here's what I can think of:

Jewelcrafting Gems
------------------
Falling Star = +18 Stamina
Facet of Eternity = +12 Defense Rating
Rigid Bladestone = +12 Hit Rating
Delicate Fire Ruby = +12 Agility
Stone of Blades = +12 Crit Rating
Crimson Sun = +24 Attack power

Enchanting
-----------------------
Rings - +4 to all stats

Engineering
------------------------
Tankatronic Goggles
