I have always played as a BM spec, but for a change want to give marksman spec a go. I'm lvl 66. I have been lvling with a cat and a scorp to date, but was wondering what was the best type of pet to go with a MM?

I would say a a (wind)serpent, due to the ranged attacks, esp for instances

For instances i'd say Ravager, just like every other spec.
Simply because they're the top dps pet.

But really, it doesnt matter whatever you like next to you will be best.
Or in other words:

"There is no best pet, <insert favourite pet> is the best pet!"

Honestly I use a Wind Serpent now but it's mainly cause it eats bread. As long as I have a mage in the group I don't have to worry about keeping her fed in a multiple death senario. The range attack is a plus cause I can spam click that and every time I crit on my shots she gets enough focus to use it again on bosses. keeping her effectively from harm.

So does my garbage disposal boar pet lol. Pumba also charges in for initial threat to help keep hate from my new higher ranged DPS (just changed to MM and loving it!)

For BG's I'm thinking about getting a cat pet. I know where there are some.. and the dps is awesome on those... Still under debate.

Ravagers are pretty much the same as Cats only without prowl and with more dps.
And since prowl is only really useful if you're a Nelf (imo) and your sig says you're an orc i'd say take the Ravager instead ;)

Awesome tyvm! I'll give that a shot. Know where any lv70 might be? I'll Alla search it. I was going to grab a cat from the Sketties area XD

I'd hate to think I'll be leveling him from the HP area (lv60'ish)

Ah just found my next pet "Nethermine Ravager" in SMV.

TYVM again.

i personally trained a Rip-Blade ravager, because they switch colours every time you summon em.

It was a pain to lvl it from 63-70 though :(
