Taking some recruits through kara to get to know them and talk to them a bit, one of the mages asked me (very rudely) if I really raided arms spec. I told him that yes I did. He then started lecturing me about how I shouldn't use a mace, I agreed that the other wpns where better for pure dps, but I didn't have anything else that was as good. Anyways, after we cleared I posted the damage meters, the mage did end up number 2 on the damage charts, right under a noob arms warrior sportin a mace lol. Shut him up pretty quick.

rofl tell him to l2spec fire/arcane, and stack some spell hit, crit and damage.

if similarly geared, a fire/arc mage should do more dps than an arms warrior in karazhan as aran is the only fight that melee really shine on.

ground out about 10k honor last night, bit the bullet and grabbed the glad bonegrider. Got the mats for executioner and will get that on it tonight. also need to go from skill 1-375. DOH!

This should be a pretty awesome damage boost over my old crystalforged axe. the min damage on the mace is near the max damage of the axe. haha

welfare epics ftw i guess.

Go to SMV and beat on the guys (there are 4 of them) with the totems around them. (you'll find one near the fire elementals in a gorge or w/e)

It's an easy way to lvl up without having to worry about being attacked while lvling your new weapon. It's great, they don't hit back, you lvl your weapons and you don't have to worry too much about the mobs around them, they don't come within aggro range, if they do it's few and far between. Just don't get ganked!

I wish I could post an accomplishment but still trying to get my warriors account back. But my last accomplishment was getting all the mats together for my Mongoose/Potency enchants. I know executioner/mongoose is better but still need 100+ badges for my Badge weapons.

Also, the most fun (funnest?) way to skill up a weapon is to run someone through a lowbie instance like DM or WC. Just get a real fast version of the weapon - even a lower level one is better for skilling up and go to town. I leveled up 2handed maces and swords in from 1 to over 300 in 4 runs through stockades

Except if it were baby photos, it would be like looking at before and afters of Michael Jackson. Only instead of turning into a white guy, he changes into a chick!

>< omgaz this is WoW warrior, not FFXI warrior, shoo shoo

time to /flex

i hit exalted with SSO recently, picked up the dawnforged defender and tanking neck, got some drops from heroic magister's including distracting blades and commendation of kael'thas, and a few weeks ago i got vengeance wrap and red belt of battle crafted for me.

unbuffed tank stats (in different tanking sets):
max stam: 15.7k
max armor: 16.7k
max dodge+parry: 41%
hit rating: 70ish
expertise rating: 25 (5.75% expertise)

raid buffed i can now hit 3200 AP/30% crit without LotP and strength of earth, and i still have to get my hands on shard of contempt, netherforce chestplate, the gauntlets of rapidity (new badge mail hands) and nyn'jah's tabi boots (60 badge leather boots).

A lot of warriors is going to hate me for this - I just literally walked in kara and picked up the King's Defender without a single fight.

I was doing kara (different toon) with my guild and just before getting the chess event, I told the group that I wanted to switch to my warrior to get a shot for the KD since the MT already had the sword and there weren't any other tanks in the group. You guess it: we opened the chest and voila...there's the KD.

My warrior is totally a 70 newb (not even seen any heroic actions or kara before) with blues/greens and now the only purple: the KD.

I'll apologize for my colleagues. They got a little rambunctious. We're all Warriors. Keep up the good work, and enjoy your game.

And Quor still owes me a hi. Smiley: glare

Is the Kings Defender comparable to a Ridill?

I think its closer to a Joyeuse or even a gluttony sword

It basically took a scheduling miracle, Spec flexibility and a huge chunk of gold, but I got my first (significant) action in Kara last night. Got the Royal Cloak off of Moroes.

Had been Prot-4-Life, but current guild alredy has 2 establised tanks and another they want to gear up. This hasnt normally been a huge problem because I'm rarely available on raid nights. But, last night was an exception... and in order to make it work I offered to spec Fury (and spent the first half of the week studying, DLing Mods, assembling gear, picking up new gems, enchants, etc).

Raid went pretty well, all things considered. Guild seems to be in transition. Several members are ready to graduate from Kara. Others (like myself) are competing for slots. So, we have instances like last night that are almost like tutorials for newbs. We didnt destroy the place like some in the guild may be accustomed... but it was definately worth the time. ... and a lot of fun.
