Well, I just dinged 70 yesterday on a second run of Old Hillsbrad. Started tanking the instance at 69, then got to 70 as we went through. Actually ended up running the instance 4 times yesterday. I specced fury up through about level 67-68, then switched to protection. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out, since I didn't have much experience tanking higher level instances. No deaths, and I didn't lose any aggro the first 3 times. Tanked Black Morass twice after that, but we couldn't get past the final boss. Now that I don't have to worry about that pesky levelling for a while, I'm looking forward to gearing up and doing some real tanking.
The fourth run was a bit more annoying, as we had people trying to speed through the thing and pull too much at once. It turned into a free-for-all which was all right up until the last group. We wiped, and our priest (who is a great healer, btw) decided to call it, as did our warlock. We managed to get another priest and a hunter, so now it's me, a 70 rogue, 68 priest, 70 hunter, and a 66 hunter. This was all to help out a guildie (the 70 rogue), but we ended up with 3 people from different guilds. The 66 hunter starts Thrall running before our rogue could talk to him, and pretty much ninjas every blue piece that drops (we all usually pass if it's something no one can use, then roll for the DE). So basically, nobody feels that they need to hit what the tank is hitting during the final fight and we wipe 3 times. After the 3rd wipe, the hunter says that it's because my gear's not good enough, since he aggro'd a mob and died first. I can see where sometimes that could be a legitimate grievance, but I had tanked the previous runs in mostly greens (switched to mostly blues at 70). I'm not saying I'm the best tank, but I had to tell him to use misdirection shot to put the aggro on me, instead of trying to take stuff out himself. So what happens? We beat the Epoch Hunter the 4th time, thanks to my "inadequate" gear. Oh well. Rant over.
Either way, it feels good to finally hit 70. I love my warrior.
