Unless they jerk around with all our talents and abilities just like they did when Burning Crusade came out
No idea if they're going to "jerk around" the current talents or not, but Blizz has stated that with the new expansion and new levels there will be new talents. Whether there will be anything deeper in the Holy tree for WotLK or not that would be suitable for a Shockadin is yet to be seen though.

My bet is, however, that anyone wishing to do a plate/DPS/hybrid role like a shockadin or a retadin will probably roll a Death Knight, which all bets say will be able to do that and do it much much better, 'cos they're evil. I'm guessing the idea of a paladin doing any damage at all will be totally redundant, since that very slot will be taken up by Death Knights.
Few things: 1) I think just about EVERYONE that hits 80 will be making a Death Knight unless they absolutely hate melee fighting, have some religious thing against a fictional character (yes, they are out there), or some other oddball reason. Fact is it'll be something totally new and I'm willing to bet we'll see the same influx of Death Knights that we saw with Draenei Shaman and Blood Elf Paladins the moment TBC was released.
2) I don't believe they'll be better at the role in question cause they are "evil". They'll be better at the role cause that's what they are designed for. Paladins have never been designed as a DPS class, but as a defensive tank/healer class. Also, not so sure they are "evil" anyway as the Death Knights we will be able to play do not serve the Lich King, but have allied themselves with the Alliance/Horde (which neither of them are evil).
3) I also don't think redundancy will be an issue. You could say Cat Druids are redundant with Rogues around, Destruction Locks are redundant with Mages, etc.. Fact is it'll be one more class that does what another class can already do, they will just do it differently.
EDIT: typo.
