Finally got to outlandsFollow

#1 Dec 26 2007 at 7:56 AM Rating: Decent
So I finally hit outlands, and its amazing :) leveling quite quickly now too, as I just hit 63. Got a few questions though.

1) In your guy's oppinions, when is the best time to have molten armor on, and mage armor on?

2) Is Arcane blast worth it to use at all, as a deep frost build?

3) Whats the best way to utilize Ice lance?

I think I can make short order of these questions:

1) You can pretty much keep molten armor on at all times, the +3 % crit is quite nice and a little protection against rogues/etc and doing a bit extra damage is nice.

2) Arcane Blast is practically useless unless you are wearing 2-pieces of Tier 5 armor

3) Best way to utilize ice lance is when a mob has frostbite/frost nova and you shoot a frostbolt and immediately afterwards use icelance (as soon as it casts) so that both fire at the same time) and can both crit.

If you have frostbite/shatter keep ice armor up if you see PVP in your future. Otherwise Molten armor is great. I only use Mage Armor when dueling other caster classes. Could help in instances though if you are having mana problems.

Hmm, so when you get Molten Armor, its bye bye Mage Armor? thought that extra mana regen could help you with those few mana problems while leveling..?

Unless you have a fair bit of spirit, 30% isn't that much . the extra crit from molten armor means mobs go down faster. The time you save you can drink or let mana regen out of combat anyway.
