Frozen Shadoweave VS Merciless GladiatorsFollow

#1 Dec 25 2007 at 1:11 PM Rating: Decent
Hello,

im a 57 und lock on Spirestone i just started playing WoW again since im in the Army i dont always have time to play on a consistent basis.

my question is should i invest the time in lvling tailoring to eventually get the Frozen Shadoweave gear or should i simply wait to hit 70 and Arena my @$$ off to get the Merciless Gladiators? im pretty sure the Gladiators is better for pvp and the Frozen Shadoweave for pve but is one better all around?

I'd have to say the Merciless Gladiator's is best all round. If you socket it for Hit and Damage you can actually do fairly well in PvE, and it rocks for soloing. In fact, the shoulders are actually one of the best Spell Hit items I know of for the slot!

However, FSW + PvP means you get shredded to pieces. No Resilience, meager Stamina...

idd and i'll agree with the shoulders. though T4 are better if you get a chance at them (though only just better sadly)

But all the hit is a total waste in PVP. Honestly, PVE for PVE gear, PVP for PVP gear. Don't waste good PVP gear by gemming it out for spell hit.

get to what? 40 hit in pvp and you don't need anymore.

I started getting my PVP gear, and I have to say it looks much better than any of my crafted items.
For the sake of saving time and money, I'm probably going to mix the sets, but the Gladiator stuff is better. The gloves alone give me a 50% chance to avoid interruption while asking Fear, which is great.

Yeah a PVP weapon and sha'tar head inscription pretty much takes care of all the hit you need in PVP.

I think im gonna lvl up tailoring till 70 anyway to get the better bags, etc., and once i reach 70 i will Arena like a mad man for the meciless(damn its alot of points). if anything id like to have 2 complete sets for PvE and one for PvP unless... there is something better out there for PvE then the Frozen Shadoweave?

Thx for all the help i really miss this game.

I don't really enjoy PvP that much, and the only reason I went for the item was for furthering my raiding progress. Gemmed for Hit, there's not much better than sidegrades for an Affliction Warlock in Karazhan at least.

I'm not saying it's perfect for PvE, in fact I resent the fact that I had to use it to get Hit Capped, but Merciless Gladiator's is better for PvE than FSW is for PvP. As such, for all-round play in both, Merciless Gladiator's is better.
