Hunter Macros patch 2.3Follow

#1 Dec 25 2007 at 10:32 AM Rating: Default
Merry Christmas all!

Does anyone have a link to hunter macros post 2.3 patch? It seems all my macros are now broken and non functional. In fact, the game started to get all kinds of crazy script errors and shut down, when I logged back on, my macros were all wiped out. I am useless at creating these myself, so I was hoping to get a link where I can just copy/paste the macro.

I am looking for a Steady shot macro that will cast kill command if it is up.

A macro that will cast Wingclip then Mongoose / Raptor

A distracting shot macro that will stop attacking and clear target.

A freeze trap macro that will stop attack and clear target.

A macro that makes me mount and cast aspect of monkey, when I dismount it casts aspect of hawk.

I think this would pretty much be all I need for macros, hopefully one of you intelligent hunters can posty me a link with some macros that work post 2.3. Or, maybe just tell me the script I need to accomplish the above mentioned macros. Thanks much!

I've been out of the Macro loop for too long, but I suggest looking at WoWwiki's Hunter macro article.

A couple of them are obvious.

/cast Raptor Strike
/cast Wingclip

/cast Distracting Shot
/stopattack
(I think /canceltarget?)
[Same for Freezing Trap]

Thanks for the link, but these are the macros that I used pre 2.3, now they are causing the program to crash due to some sort of bad script. I suppose I could try to use them again, but they all got wiped out the last time I played.

Thanks

/cast Raptor Strike
/cast Wing Clip
(ALWAYS do raptor first, because it casts on your next swing, while wing clip is instant. If you do wing clip first, it will take a few seconds to cast Raptor Strike)

Hit escape twice after you hit distracting

Escape works for this, as well.

Aspect of the Monkey does not work when you're mounted. Never has. Never will. Get carrot on a stick or if you're 69-70, get a riding crop. Keep Aspect of the Hawk casted while mounted.

If you get one of those, you can use:

/equip Riding Crop
/use NameofMount

but there's no way to put the trinket back on with that same macro. Personally, I use an addon that switches out my trinket with my riding crop automatically when I mount up. I forget what it's called.

Seems to be an outdated Kill Command macro on that site, Taurrus. The /script feature was disabled long ago.

Mounting + Aspect:

#showtooltip
/cast Aspect of the Monkey
/use <name of mount-item>

Dismounting + Aspect:

#showtooltip
/dismount
/cast Aspect of the Hawk

Distracting Shot + Stop + Clear:

#showtooltip
/cast Distracting Shot
/stopattack
/cleartarget

Freezing Trap + Stop + Clear:

#showtooltip
/cast Freezing Trap
/stopattack
/cleartarget

Wing Clip + Mongoose/Raptor:

#showtooltip
/stopmacro [noharm]
/startattack
/castrandom Wing Clip, Raptor Strike, Mongoose Strike

Found this one on the interweb.

That'd be my guess. Still don't know about the Kill Command macro, though.

#showtooltip
/castrandom Kill Command, Steady Shot

Perhaps...

#showtooltip Steady Shot
/castsequence reset=3 Steady Shot, Auto Shot
/cast [exists,target=pettarget] Kill Command
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear();

still works fine for me. Script hasn't been disabled or anything.

They brought back /script?

Wasn't the feature disabled a long time ago? Back when they revamped the macro system?

I think they just re-mapped most of it. I was never around before it was changed, but I do know that command has removed UIErrrors from my screen since I started using it in spring.

(btw, awesome avatar mazra)
